Dr. Ilona Laszlo Higgins

I would recommend her to all ladies. She takes her time and educate you at the same time.

Dr.Higgins is an excellent physician! She listens to issues/symptoms and then provides advice and sometimes multiple courses of action so you can have more decision power. She is not the sort of doctor who will just load you up with prescriptions and then expect the issue will resolve itself. She is passionate about women's bodies and knowledgeable about their innerworkings. She is very warm and understands how vulnerable patients feel when discussing the most intimate aspects of their bodies and details of their sex life. She has a brand of sensative humor that can help lift the spirits of a frustrated patient. I always leave her office with a smile on my face. The only thing that could be improved is the wait time between the scheduled appointment and the time she actually walks in the exam room door. When I was her patient at West HI Community Health Center they often over-booked her and as a result patients were left to wait in the cold waiting room (in an uncomfortable state of… undress) for 15-45 minutes. That being said, once she is in the room, it feels like the wait time was worth every minute and you feel like a human being not just another number or block on her schedule.
