Dr. Ilya Bialik

very judgemental, prefer people based on looks,status not merits

My son was recently admitted to Methodist Hospital. Dr. Bialik and his team were excellent with around the clock care. There were child specialists, teachers, nurses, physicians, volunteers consistently coming in to check on my son every hour. He was well cared for, nurtured, treated with respect and amazing amounts of kindness. Dr. Bialik and his team treated him for something that, if left untreated, could have been life threatening. He was right at every turn, confident, patient. When I wasn't present during one examination, he promised my husband he would return later to speak to me. True to his word, he returned later in the day just to give me the information I needed to assure me. I want to defend one review here about Dr. Bialik being discriminating. He is not. My family is black and I'm Asian. I definitely have walked into places in the past and, yes, there have been physicians that have overtly discriminated against my family but that is not Dr. Bialik. He was incredibly… understanding, he was good to my husband, he made my son laugh, and most of all he assured a very nervous mom. He told me it was going to be okay and everything was. I noticed on the door that the pediatric room where my son was staying bore his name, meaning Dr. Bialik is not only a doctor but a donor, someone who cares enough to offer a hospital room in a gesture of philanthropy. Though my son is still on the mend, Dr. Bialik and the wonderful staff at Methodist made a truly frightening situation bearable. I thank them for caring for my son until the moment he was able to walk out the door, so much healthier than he was before.

Dr.Bialik has been my children's doctor since birth. He is fantastic!! We love him!!

My son is now 9 months old. I am a first time mom and my brain was a confused exhausted mess at those early visits. Dr. Bialik gave me possibly the best advice I ever received. He told me that I need to take care of myself too, that I was running on adrenaline and eventually that will tap out. He told me that I need to put my oxygen mask on first. Dr. Bialik is punctual, patient, and listens very well. My entire experience with Methodist Hospital was terrible but I consider it the yin and yang of life as I was able to connect with this amazing pediatrician. His staff is also courteous and professional.

I think he is discriminating. He is not good with ethnic patients. I did not like him for that reason

He is always patient with me and my daughter. I am a nervous first-time mom and he never rushes me out of his office and is open to all of my questions.
