Dr. Ilya Ruvimovich Kleyn, MD

Dr. Kleyn is probably the worst, most disrespectful doctor I've ever seen. I've never reviewed a doctor before, but his behavior was so egregious that I truly believe that he shouldn't be practicing medicine. My father is in the end stages of a rare form of dementia, which has been a very long and difficult process for us. He went to Dr. Kleyn for a simple assessment. Dr. Kleyn admitted that he has no experience with this disease, yet was recommending several medications and treatments that my dad's neurologist had already said were not advisable. I attempted to patiently explain how given the stage of the disease, these interventions were not recommended. Dr. Kleyn told me that if I loved my father then I would do what he recommended. At that point I told him that my father would never be seeing him again and left the room. As I stood in the hall crying, I could hear him smugly repeating to the nurse some of the horrible things he had said to me. Aside from speaking to me in a… completely appalling manner, he didn't even show good medical judgment.

This office is unorganized, unhelpful, and antiquated. I was told I had to re-schedule an appointment initially after someone in the front office didn't bother to call or check my insurance even though I had made an appointment several days earlier. Additionally, once they told me to come back in, the same people in the front office failed to save my information which meant that I nearly had to go through the same process again. Additionally, I had to call them after waiting for standard test results for over 2 weeks and was told that in order to get my results I'd have to schedule a follow-up appointment and couldn't come in for at least another 3 weeks. This is not only the worst experience I've ever had with a doctor's office, but the level of disorganization doesn't give me any sense of faith that the results they share with me will even be the right results and thus will require me to get a second opinion (more time and money) no matter what. I would recommend saving… yourself time and money and trying to find a different doctor.

I have been to a fair share of doctors in my life and I must say Dr. Kleyn is the absolute best! Scheduling an appointment is really simple and quick. He can usually see you on short notice and if he cannot make it he has a PA and another doctor on staff (both of whom are total sweethearts and are great at diagnosing your problems and answering all of your questions - and I tend to ask A LOT of questions). So back to Dr. Kleyn: I didn't want to leave my house because of a skin condition that I had so I called him (on his day off) and he actually contacted a specialist for me and scheduled an appointment for me for the following day with both the specialist and himself. This obviously shows how patient, friendly, and how much he cares about helping patients. After doing a couple of tests (which was much more than the "top" doctor that I saw right before him did before dismissing my condition as allergies that I don't have) they were able to properly diagnose my condition and begin… treating it within those two back-to-back appointments.

I was very comfortable in Dr.KLeyn office. I didn't feel like I am in doctors office. Very friendly and proffesional staff. Treatment was helpfull too.
