Dr. Imani Najuma Williams-Vaughn, MD

As a first time patient I would think I’d meet the person I made an appointment with. Never met her. She passed me to her Physicians Assistant. I’m an insulin dependent diabetic. I called because I ran out of insulin and I needed a script sent over to my pharmacy. I initially called at 9:45am. I followed up at 2:30. I was told the PA was seeing patients. Am I not a patient?? Really? I followed up again at 4:15pm. No response. I called the office again at 4:45. No response. She never called my script in and I am without insulin. My blood sugar is out of whack and I wonder why.

So I'm a physician myself and I picked Dr. Vaughn because everything was done correctly for her patients that I've seen in my office. She gave me great concrete advise and really took a lot of time with me. Even doctors need a physician and I am happy to have Dr. Williams-Vaughn as mine. She is super smart and has an impressive bedside manner. When I looked at my lab orders after I checked out everything was exactly as I would have ordered for myself. She wasn't all about prescriptions though and her non-medication advise will be very useful for me.

Dr. William-Vaughan took time to examine not only my issues, but got to know me as a personal level. I didn't feel like just another patient.

I had not gotten a physical in a long time. The Dr. knowing that didn't ask for what I am taking. I told her of 3 prescriptions. I didn't feel she took enough interest in my health. When she walked in there wasn't a smile or a handshake of introduction. So already, the interview between patient and dr. is compromised. This dr. was dry. Not friendly at all. Not rude but definitely not inviting. I will not go back. One encounter, one visit was enough to know that.

Dr. Williams-Vaughn is patient and professional. She offers real-world solutions to help improve your overall health. Be prepared to hear easy to understand instructions as she does not talk over your head with all of that medical ligo. I highly recommend Dr. Williams-Vaughn.

Total apathy. I had a list of 3 things to talk to the doctor about. With the 2 most concerning she shrugged from across the room (not even coming over to look at the issue) and said â??I donâ??t know,â?? and that maybe I should see a specialist. I would be embarrassed in my job to treat the customer with such lack of interest. If you don't know its one thing, I'll find someone who does, but the attitude was that she doesn't care, I was wasting her 5 minuted, and made me feel stupid for asking. I might have well just have paid the copay and left, totally worthless.

I've seen probably over 30 Doctors in the last two years. I have Endometreosis, Adenomyosis (causing chronic pelvic pain). Dr. Williams Vaughn is the most informative, personal, trustworthy Dr. i've ever been to. She remembered so much about me, she cared, we discussed things - I will truly visit her as my Primary Care for life. It's not everyday you find Dr's who care, and i'll follow her wherever she goes. You won't regret seeing her!

Dr. Williams-Vaughn is the best Dr. I have had access to some of the best from NY to LA and she has been patient, informative and helpful. Her credentials are excellent and she happens to be one of a few African-American Dr. in Phoenix. She is the best.
