I saw several surgeons before meeting with Dr. Fayaz and I am so glad I chose him. I would highly recommend Dr. Fayaz for any back or spine problems you have. He listens to you, he is conservative in his approach and does not push surgery at all. He also worked with me when my insurance changed and he was no longer on my plan two months prior to surgery. Because he is not part of a larger physician's group, he can make each decision on a case by case basis in the best interest of his patients. I totally trust him and would definitely use him again, but fingers crossed I won't have to! It has been one year since my lumbar fusion and I feel amazing. My only regret is not having the surgery sooner. After more than five years of physical therapy, chiropractic, injections, pain meds and more, I finally went ahead with my surgery. The moment I woke up, I could tell my pain was gone. My disc was completely gone so it was bone on bone at L5/S1. Dr. Fayaz had to pry the vertebrae… apart because they had started to fuse naturally. The recovery from the surgery was not nearly as bad as I expected. I did not take any pain meds after I left the hospital, I wore the brace for about a month and by the time I finished my PT four months in, I was completely pain free. I can bend and sneeze without pain! I never realized how much my pain had been affecting my life until it was gone.

I dealt with pain for over 30 years because I was afraid to have back surgery. How do I spell relief, DR. FAYAZ! When I woke up from surgery I was completely pain free! It's been 7 weeks now and I haven't needed pain medicine, not even Aleve. I constantly had to remind myself not to overdo it because I felt great. Not only is Dr. Fayaz an exceptional Neuro-Surgeon, he's compassionate and really cares about his patients. I'm so grateful for him and HIGHLY RECOMMEND him. I'm thankful to finally be able to enjoy life without pain!

Having been an ER nurse most of my life I have dealt with many physicians, and sometimes you have to accept a skilled surgeon that doesn't have great bedside manner. With Dr. Fayaz, you get both of the above. My husband was nearly crippled with back pain, and had received different advice from different (3) surgeons. We settled on Dr. Fayaz because of great referrals and reviews, and how he treated us and came across at our very first visit. His office staff is well organized, and his PA Jonas is also kind, compassionate, and knowledgeable. Within hours after surgery, we knew that Dr. Fayaz had made the correct diagnosis and had repaired the herniated disc. Within a week he was off of all pain meds. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Fayaz and his staff.

Great doctor. Excellent surgeon. Had a brain shunt installed 10 years ago. Have had no problems since. He monitors me once a year to make sure it is working properly. Recommend him highly.

Dr. Fayaz was encouraging and well versed when he explained what my recovery was going to be like after my Spine surgery. That made it easier to accomplish my goals day by day. He is truly a Genuine Doctor.

Our daughter was suffering from back and leg pain for some months.She was referred to Dr.Fayaz who had thoroughly explained to us about surgery options but we were skeptical at first since we wanted to try steroid injections first as Dr.Fayaz had given us as this option .We had taken our daughter to another physician who gave her 3 series of shots which didn't help at all, another Dr. gave her a "nerve shot" which didn't help either.WE REGRETTED NOT OPTING FOR THE SURGERY IN THE BEGINNING.We decided to go back to Dr .Fayaz about opting for surgery this time.He was very thorough in explaining to us the procedures and intended plan of care and treatment.Our daughter was scared since its her first surgery.Dr. Fayaz took the time to reassure her everything will be ok. He also took the time to sit and talk with us, her parents , everything about the surgery pre and post care.He answered our questions and concerns since we're from out of town.DR.FAYAZ IS VERY PROFESSIONAL, HAS VERY GOOD… BEDSIDE MANNERS, AN AMAZING DOCTOR, VERY CARING AND THOROUGH WITH HIS PLAN OF CARE FOR HIS PATIENTS.Now, our daughter is recovering very well , following up with Dr Fayaz and his plan for her physical theraphy. WE WILL RECOMMEND DR. FAYAZ AS WELL AS DR JONAS TO EVERYONE NEEDING A NEUROSURGEON CARE. I can't even begin to tell you how amazing this doctor is I had to have a neck fusion from C3 to C7 the care he gave me and the kindness of the staff was above and beyond I recommend him to anybody and everybody he is very kind great bedside manner willing and caring why can't the doctor and his staff I will forever be grateful

Dr. Fayaz is a 10+ spine surgeon. Dr. Fayaz is a spectacular surgeon and person. His assistant and staff are equal to the expectations you would wish for in an emergency or scheduled surgery. This was my 4th lumbar surgery, my first with Dr. Fayaz. I can only say if I had him do surgery #3, there would not have been a 4th. Long recovery with good results. Relieved severe right leg nerve pain. Rebuilt and constructed cage for L2,3,4. Cleaned up excessive amount of old scar tissue.

Dr Fayaz and his team are the best. His personal style helps you feel at ease and he is extremely through and gives you a complete plan for your recovery. Appointments are seen on time and his skills are excellent

I was in pain and went to see Dr.Fayaz, surgery was needed. I was scared when Dr.Fayaz told me. Now that the surgery is over and I'm on the road to recovery the only regret I have was not having the surgery sooner.
