Dr. Imran Mohamedyakub Puthawala, MD

Dr. Imran Puthawala is a medical oncologist and hematologist who specializes in treating blood disorders and cancers. He completed his internal medicine residency at UMass Chan Medical School in 2018, followed by comprehensive fellowship training in hematology and oncology at the same institution in 2022. Dr. Puthawala pursued additional specialized fellowship training in blood banking and transfusion medicine at Ohio State University Hospital in 2019, and completed advanced bone marrow transplant fellowships at both UMass Chan Medical School and the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center through 2023.

Dr. Puthawala practices at Ronald McDonald Children's Hospital of Loyola University Medical Center and sees patients at locations in Maywood and Berwyn, Illinois. His clinical expertise encompasses comprehensive cancer care and blood disorder management. He treats patients experiencing flank pain and abdominal pain, including cases involving abdominal pain during pregnancy.
