Dr. Mohamad Khair F Khasawneh, MD

Dr. Mohamad Khair Khasawneh is a medical oncologist and hematologist who specializes in treating blood disorders and cancer. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Saint Vincent Charity Hospital in 2006, followed by comprehensive fellowship training that shaped his expertise in cancer care. Dr. Khasawneh pursued fellowship training in medical oncology and hematology at the University at Buffalo School of Medicine, completing both programs in 2010 and 2011 respectively. He also completed specialized fellowship training in experimental therapy at the prestigious Cleveland Clinic Foundation in 2007. Dr. Khasawneh is fluent in both English and Spanish.

Dr. Khasawneh practices at multiple locations throughout the Chicago area, including Ronald McDonald Children's Hospital of Loyola University Medical Center and sees patients in Tinley Park, Maywood, and Berwyn, Illinois. He focuses on treating various types of cancer, with particular expertise in prostate cancer care, including …cases where the cancer has returned after initial treatment. His practice also includes treating patients with liver cancer. Dr. Khasawneh performs diagnostic procedures such as calcium blood tests and arterial blood gas analysis to help monitor patient health during treatment.
