Dr. Indrani Gill, MD

After being diagnosed with breast cancer, I met with Dr. Gill as well as City of Hope professionals to select an oncologist to begin a treatment plan. After much reflection, my husband and I decided to select Dr. Gill for my care. Dr. Gill treats every patient as an individual with different needs and fears. She researches every case and provides the latest medical treatment available in a professional and nurturing environment. I felt comfortable and confident that I was in the BEST possible place to achieve a recovery. Throughout my 8 months of chemo treatment, I chatted with many other patients concerning Dr. Gill's care and staff. We all agreed that under the circumstances, we were lucky to have found Dr. Gill to support us through this very difficult time. Cancer is tough to beat, but it helps to have a physician like Dr. Gill on your side.

20 years ago Dr. Gill was my wifes treating doctor for stage 3 cancer. Her treatment and service was horrible and we went to the Norris Cancer center in L.A. The doctors there said that her treatment was old and outdated and if my wife continued this course, she would not survive. Well its been 20 years and we are cancer free with the treatment we received at the City of Hope. Suggest you get a second opinion on what ever Dr Gill tells you. Please do not use her if you want to live. We felt so sorry for the way we saw patients treated with her her and her staff, she should have her licence pulled.

Dr. Gill treated my very aggressive Stage 3 breast cancer and saved my life. Her staff, especially the oncology nurse who administers the chemo, is warm and caring. She was available for me after hours when my pain was unbearable. During the follow up care, after surgery, chemo. and radiation, she provided the most recent research information, listened to my concerns, and respected my decisions. When making recommendations, she considered my lifestyle and my family issues. For me, she was a great oncologist, perhaps because I armed myself with research information and did not play a passive role in my treatment.

Dr. Gill is not competent and does not do a thorough diagnosis. She ends up causing more harm to the patient than good. She simply doesn't care.

Wife had breast cancer, no compassion with this Dr. mis diagnosed the treatment, wanted to do radiation with chemo together. Went to USC and they wrote her a letter, My wife is alive today due to Dr, Weisman, in Torrance, use the gas and save your life. no bedside manner at all

This doctor can be abusive toward staff and always keeps me waiting sometimes as long as 3-4 hours. The billing person in this office is incompetant but cannot let the doctor know when she has messed up because of the oppressive work environment. Follow up after treatment consists of quarterly visits but no actual diagnostics so it is impossible to know if your cancer has returned. Not a pleasant or upbeat atmosphere.
