I came back to work for Kaiser Permanent Santa Rosa in 2011, to be a part of the wonderful medical home, again. I loved the way there is medical team and how significant it is for me to let this team be a part of our childrens’ health. Being a parent, I know what I am looking for, for my child’s health care system. Its service and convenience of care. Kaiser Permanente has that. I love to educate parents about the disease condition and always felt resourceful as Kaiser has so many education classes to help our patients.

A little bit about myself. I was born in a beautiful town nestled in the foothills of the Himalayas. Raised in a very well-educated …family, with colonial influence, my father was an academician who traveled all over the world. As young kids, we were fortunate to be a part of those travels. I feel those travels made me a well rounded and blended person and who I am now. It also made my transition to do higher education, in the US, very easy. I came and did my masters in public health (MPH) in the mid- west and was very fortunate to have worked with some of the pioneers in Medicine and having them, as my mentors. I have worked extensively in cancer research. I completed my residency at the UCSF in Pediatrics and started at Kaiser Permanente as my first job down at the Bay Area. But my thirst for adventure and change, I sought out to private practice with Sutter in Santa Rosa in 2009. I carried with me the rich experience of Kaiser and worked with the same ethics and beliefs at private practice. My experience in Sutter was richer as I served as a Chief of Pediatrics, and my role in leadership urged me to be more responsible and the need to accomplish more. Santa Rosa has been “deja-vu” to me, as the world where I came from is famous for sprawls of tea-plantations and the wineries reminded me of them. It was nostalgia and I fell in love with the place.

My professional interests are to learn more about the family and genetics of disease. I am passionate about optimizing the best care so that each child grows up healthy in mind and body.
My philosophy of care is following the recommendations and guidelines of the American Academy of Pediatrics. I am a very compassionate person and love to spend time learning about families.

Dr. Mary Brown is my practice partner. I am in the office Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday 8:30 am – 5 pm. On Wednesday, I work 8:30 am – 12:30 pm.
