Truly a terrible physician. I felt like she was forcing her beliefs on me when I trusted her as a medical provider.

Dr Skop is a compassionate doctor who truly listened to our concerns, and followed through. She took time after a surgery to explain in detail her findings, and to answer all my questions. She far and away exceeded any expectations I had, and I am so thankful for her!!!

Dr. Skop is the only gynecologist who meets you in her office first to get to know you and learn your concerns before the embarrassing splayed first meeting with most other doctors. I appreciate her focus, candor, and excellent bedside manner. I highly recommend her!!

Met with Dr. Skop for a routine annual visit. She took her time to visit with me before the exam. I appreciated that. I did not feel rushed. Staff were all nice and helpful. Appointment did not run late either.

I had an emergency C section and she complaints about me the whole time she delivered my son about how much scar tissue I had and my choice to attempt a vbac ( which was chosen by my regular doc) very unprofessional!

I went to see Dr. Skop recently for a gyn issue I was having. She is warm and friendly, but thats where the compliments end. She was in and out of the room with me in less than 2 minutes, didnt listen at all to my complaints, didnt seem to know what to do or know how to make an accurate diagnosis, and finished talking to me as she was walking about the door. Would NEVER go back to her.

Dr. Skop was my OB/GYN for 8 yrs. Never had a problem for the 1st 6yrs & I even referred her to friends. Those 6 yrs she treated me for chronic cyst issues but I only saw her 1 time every 6-8 weeks so I never caught on that she was always in a hurry until I got pregnant on the 6th yr seeing her. Due to Dr. Skop rushing thru our visit's we kept forgetting things to ask her at my OB appts, we stayed with her because we liked her as a person & thought that being too busy doesn't make her to being a bad Dr as long as she kept up. So we started writing our question's on a note pad at every appt & that seemed to solve the problem. My delivery wasn't perfect & Dr. Skop was rushing but at the end both my baby & I were perfectly fine. She gave us a great referral for a Pediatric as well. After my delivery, I had severe pelvic pain & some very mild leaking for 6 months. Dr. Skop suggested that my bladder fell & she can do surgery installing a mesh to hold up my bladder. The bladder function… test did show some leaking so I trusted her & went along with it. A week after bladder surgery I told her that somethings wrong & the only way I could pee was squeezing my abdomen as hard as I could & it was painful. She said that things will be better by my Post Op appointment in 6 wks. Thing's never got better but she explain that now that the bladder is back into place with the mesh supporting it that it takes time to re-train the bladder. Her explanation made plenty of since & she made me feel that I would get better in time. Another 6 mths went by & the leaking stopped but still strain but not at hard to pee & the pelvic pain never got better so at 32 yrs old Dr. Skop said that I needed to do a Hysterectomy for endometriosis & fibroids. I figured since the leaking stopped with her installing the mesh that she knew what she was doing & so I trusted her decision on the hysterectomy. After the surgery once the pee bag was removed, I couldn't pee again & had to strain very hard to try to pee. She told me that my bladder got aggravated when removing the Uterus since it was in the same area & thing's will get better with time. Again, that made plenty of since. Now, I found myself getting UTI every other month for a year. She would give me an antibiotic & it would go away. She never referred me to a Urologist & I never questioned it since the antibiotic worked every time. I still strained to pee but now the reason was because of the UTI's. Now, it's 2yrs from the initial bladder surgery & I was rushed to the ER to get drained because now I couldn't pee not one drop. 1,000 cc of urine was drained from my bladder & the ER doctor referred me to a Urologist. At, 1st the Urologist taught I had IC a (bladder disorder) from the symptom's I was having so I did IC treatment's where 1st they drain me ( I would always have 800cc to 1,000 cc of urine stuck in my bladder) then flush out my bladder with meds thru a catheter. this helped with the pain & re-built the lining of my bladder from the Chronic UTI's I was still getting. Still couldn't pee on my own so I was taught to "self cath" to drain my bladder at home daily. After a year of this, I still couldn't pee on my own. Urologist said since everything they tried didn't work that there has to be something with the Mesh that Dr. Skop put in. Urologist pulled my record's to research the Mesh to make sure it wasn't the Mesh that got recalled & it turned out that it wasn't. Only option was surgery so my Urologist could take a look at the mesh since after years gone by, skin tissue's have grown around the mesh & it couldn't be seen with a camera. After, surgery the Urologist said that it was a very difficult surgery & had to make more than the 2 incision's that we discussed because the Mesh couldn't be found where it was supposed to be installed. Dr. Skop installed the mesh improperly towards the top my my bladder & was very tightly pressed against my bladder causing the bladder to strain. The mesh was supposed to be installed towards the lower part of bladder & cradling the Urethra. My Urologist detached the Mesh but had to leave it in my body because if they had taken it out there would have been a large space due to the amount of issue that grew around the mesh. I was reassured that the mesh was completely in good shape & there were no sign's of erosion's from it. My bladder was failing, turning stiff & my brain was now disconnected from my bladder & lost the sensation of when I needed to pee completely. My Urologist confirmed that no doubt that the improperly installed mesh & the yrs that went by with my bladder straining was the cause. Today, I now have a device implanted in me that has 4 leads connected to the nerves that control my bladder like a Tens unit it vibrates the nerve's sending signal's to my brain allowing me to know when I need to empty. This device stay's on 24/7 for life with a change of the battery every 5 to 7 yrs. Also, my entire Pelvic floor muscle's don't work because during the yrs my bladder strained, the pelvic floor muscle were no longer needed ( like if someone bound to a chair for 5 yrs then trying to walk after never using those muscle's) same concept. So, I had to get Botox injection's to those muscle's thru surgery but its was such a large area of muscles that were affected that it was impossible to inject them all. I go to bladder therapy twice a week & every week for the past 3 yrs now. My therapist has to manually release my pelvic floor muscles that are constantly in spasm with pain every single day. My condition is permeant & I will never work or physically be the same again & I'm only 37 yrs old! Dr. Skop has caused us to spend so fare OUT of POCKET $65K. I haven't filed for Malpractice because I can't handle the stress on top of the chronic severe bladder pain I deal with daily. POINT of my horrific story is that, IF Dr. Sko
