Formal Warning. Deceptive Billing Practices and Preventive Care Violations. I am posting this to alert the Vernon Hills and surrounding community regarding the predatory billing practices her office. I scheduled a free preventive checkup (which is 100% covered by law under the Affordable Care Act). However, the doctor’s office is billed me extra by "double-billing" the visit. They are listing it as both a Wellness Exam (which is free) and a Sick Visit (which costs me money). This is a practice called "Up-coding." They are intentionally using a more expensive billing code to bypass my insurance protections and force me to pay out-of-pocket for a routine appointment. The Key Issues Encountered before and after my visit. • I am pushed to sign coerced Financial Waivers upon arrival, the front desk staff required me to sign a financial waiver without any explanation. Despite my repeated verbal confirmation that this was an annual preventive check-up, the office is now using this… document as a "blank check" to circumvent ACA mandates and insurance protocols. Doctor snitched my phone after right after she entered the room. I clearly mentioned doctor and the nurse that I came for the health check pls only give the order what my preventive care is cover for. It is not their first time , they did the same practice for my 2023 annual check that’s why I feel responsible to post here. • Falsified Medical Documentation: The billing department is justifying these charges by claiming I presented with "abdominal bleeding"—a completely fabricated symptom that was never discussed or experienced. This is a severe breach of medical record integrity. • Confirmed Billing Mismanagement: My insurance provider has formally reviewed the claim and confirmed it was billed incorrectly • Refusal to Mediate: Even during a three-way call with my insurance representative, Endeavor Health’s billing department flatly refused to correct the error, instead choosing to prioritize revenue over patient rights and factual documentation.By keep saying that “ we will review the issue more than a week with no resolution or rectification. This office is weaponizing administrative paperwork to charge patients for services they did not receive and to bypass federal law. I strongly advise prospective patients to seek care elsewhere to avoid fraudulent billing and administrative harassment. I will be escalating this matter to llinois Department of Insurance and the Better Business Bureau and Illinois Attorney General’s Health Care Bureau.

Good doctors make patients feel comfortable and relaxed, understand their concerns, and explain complex medical concepts in a way that's easy to understand. It also helps to have the ability to work as part of a team and listen to different points of view.

Earlier this year I went to the office sick hours with concerns about a what could have been a big bite OR a blood clott on my arm. This doctor was on call. When I got in the room I showed her the area of concern, not really mentioning the blood clot. She looked at it and said it was probably a spider bite and prescribed anti biotics for it. I then told her my friend who is a nurse said it kind of looked like a blot clot. She looked at it again and did order and ultra sound. I got the ultra sound that day and as soon as I walked in the technician said immediately that she thought it was a clot. She did the test and confirmed it was a superficial clot and proceeded to call the doctor to ask how she wanted to treat it. The doctor told the technician that I should take Motrin and ice the area. That was it. When I left the office I was pretty upset because clearly the doctor hadn’t even checked my chart as I cannot take Motrin due to other medical issues. I called back to the office… to ask questions and see what follow up I should do. They said that she would call me back. After a number of hours if not hearing back I called as I was concerned about the cause of the clot. I still couldn’t reach her and then I asked to see another doctor as I wasn’t feeling too great with her skills. Long story short I ended up going to a specialist who told me you NEVER ice a blood clot as it restricts the veins. I would never ever see this doctor again.

Doctor Podoksik is very knowledgably, reviews all details of the tests, spends time on listening patient complains and offers options for solving problem and finding the cause of it. I recommend this doctor to my friends.

excellent doctor! she is a thinker, logical expert. over the years she proved herself to be an excellent doc by being able to diagnose things that most physicians wouldnt see.

After having several allergic reactions and skin rashes she spent 4 minutes with me and told me to cut my nails and not scratch.... Not exactly the medical expertise I was hoping for.
