This doctor is the worst, he will make life altering decisions without seeing your mris or xrays and put you in a position of really hurting yourself. I cant believe that he has a medical license, please if you've seen him get a 2and opinion.

I had a problem with herniated disc and came to see Dr Ira Chernoff and was very disappointed. Before even looking at my MRI results his assistant told me that I will most likely need a surgery. During my second visit the doctor kept "suggesting" surgery and the next morning someone from his office called me and booked me for the surgery although I told them that i need some time to think about it. Doctor advised that physical therapy might aggravate it . I did my own research and found out that the majority of herniated discs do not require surgery. They very very pushy about the surgery for no reason. Needless to say I never came back to see the doctor again.

I am a 60-yr old ex-patient if Dr Ira Chernoff. At the age of 39 I began having back problems due to degenerative disc disease, stenosis, arthritis and heredity. Dr Chernoff performed a total of 3 spine operations over a period of 12-yrs- 2 spinal fusions and one lamenectomy-discectomy. I have not had any problems warranting surgery or pain meds since the lamenectomy in 2009. He and his brother are kind, understanding and extremely knowledgeable in their field. I strongly recommend them both for any muscular/skeletal issues you may have. Thank you Dr Chernoff (s)!
