Dr. Irene Yune Tong, MD

Appointments were always 40 minutes to an hour late. Doctor will not release bloodwork information before she sees you at the office. Recently, this was for a 4 week period. Will not be returning to her practice.

I have had to wait over an hour on the three times I have visited Dr. Tong's office, without so much as an apology from her or the staff. One might expect such wait times from a cardiologist or OB/GYN, given the uncertain patient conditions they treat, but not a rheumatologist. This is just poor office management and patient relations. After having to wait 1.5 hours today, I left and found another rheumatologist who was much more accommodating and courteous. Further, all Dr. Tong did on the last appointment was flip open a laptop in front of me (which I found impersonal), type notes, order blood work and ask a few questions, without any examination of joints, etc. I am in the medical profession, and can tell you that hers is an odd bedside manner. The only upside to this office is the electronic medical records system they just implemented, allowing patients to check their labs online.
