Dr. Irina Zilberman, MD

Dr. Irina Zilberman, M.D. is absolutely outstanding in every possible way. Knowledgeable in multiple health issues. She is Assistant Professor, Tufts University School of Medicine, Internal Medicine and Adult Primary Care. She reaches out to other Tufts specialists for recommendation on unusual challenges so the patient doesn't have to go to more Departments at that moment. One example of several, when I was in extreme pain from waist down for a few days almost paralyzed. She has also been definitive with me when the Emergency Department is necessary. She is definitive when necessary, and flexible when possible. She presents real choices especially on major potentially life threatening conditions. Thus the patient ( me ! ) can actively participate. She is a superb PCP, a scientist and a kind human being. She is also a great professional Team member. She reaches out to highly specialized physicians at Tufts. Tufts Medical Center is an exceptional, not-for-profit, 415-bed… academic medical center. For example, after I was released from the ED, she referred me to Vascular Neurology ( a specialty I didn't even know exists.). Tufts Medical Center is small compared to other hospitals in Boston. Because it is smaller, the dedicated, focused physicians like Dr. Zilberman makes Tufts unique.
