Dr. Iris Mentle, MD

I have been a patient for 11 years. Dr. Mentle diagnosed my condition for what turned out to be a triple bypass operation prior to a heart attack. I am now scheduling a stress test on recommendation of my primary doctor. I have complete trust in her ability.

In all my years of going to doctors and being a professional in the field, I have never ever seen the kind of unprofessional behavior and total lack of awareness of the presence of patients by support staff as I did today. Loud and clear, talking about their personal lives, their dogs' lives, issues with patients, taking phone calls or talking to each other in the middle of registering patients. Five women standing in a little room more preoccupied with what was outside the office then inside...while a line of patients wait! I told the woman at the desk that we shouldn't have to hear their personal conversations and info about patients, I asked her if she agreed, she said "NO, it wasn't personal" It wasn't??? So I closed the little PRIVACY window for her. I had given my ID and copay and paperwork and continued to wait for total of 45 minutes beyond appointment time. (Dr. Mentle hadn't arrived yet) I found out from another patient that this "kindergarten behavior" has been… worse...with that I went to the window, asked for my stuff back and my money, ("But I'm almost done with your chart") and walked out. I had never done that before!
