Dr. Irving Aaron Bloom, MD

Dr. Bloom has been my wife's doctor, my doctor and my wife's 106 year old mother's doctor. This is a man who goes after the problem and comes up with solutions. I have had serious BP problems lately. He has stayed with me..making med changes...and has my BP under control now...If you want a sweet talking, hand holding doctor....he ain't it, in my opinion. If you want a professional who will take good care of you stick with this guy!

My first visit with Dr. Bloom was ,without a doubt, rewarding. I felt that he really cared and took steps to advance my needs. He took the time to call me on notifications instead of office personnel doing it. And his personality was really to my liking. I feel I made a good choice !

today a very good provider. A little course in his language. But I feel his medical practice skills are more important than how he talks.

I certainly appreciate Dr. Bloom and his knowledgeable office staff. I have been to his office personally with my Father. He was very direct as he questioned my Father and me. I found him to be very intuitive and handled my Father in a professional manor with a sincere desire to help with his needs. I have had to ask on several occasions for help with paperwork with which Dr. Bloom helped in a timely and courteous manner. I would highly recommend him for those with needs in geriatrics. Thank you Dr. Bloom and Staff!

Dr. B is very thorough yes but his bedside manner is awful. I sent an fax to his office with a question re: my mother's condition. He called me right away but after some quick chit chat he said "Now let me see what dumb a__s question you have for me", I said "What?" and he said again, "Let's see what kind of dumb a__s question you have for me", read my fax question and gave me an answer. Needless to say I was stunned. I actually thought he was talking to someone in his office, then realized it was me he was speaking to this way. I've never been spoken to this way in 59 years of life, by a doctor no less.

Dr Bloom was incredibly rushed during our appointment and made several inappropriate remarks. Additionally he had little interest in listening to what the problem was and was more intent on pushing us out of the office to get to his next patient. His front office staff is also a problem, turning away patients when they call for appointments if they are busy and "diagnosing" patients themselves. All in all a very unsettling and disrespectful office. It would certainly help if they started by respecting their patients, no matter what age they were.
