Dr Bakst is my neurologist since 2014. He’s a good doctor to his patients. If you are looking for a neurologist, I recommend to look for Dr Isaac Bakst!

Dr. Bakst is a great doctor. I've been to several neurologists and he has intuitive understanding that the others didn't. He's also really nice and caring. Kara, his current receptionist, is a sweet and wonderful person. A great receptionist can really set the tone and she's great with that. However, in all caps and bold and underline, his biller Gloria is absolutely atrocious. She is rude, condescending and quick to anger. If Dr. Bakst and Kara were not so nice, I would leave and go to a different doctor. His biller never smiles, is always grumpy--which is fine--but she also lacks common courtesies and is a patient's worst nightmare. I think it would be much better for their business if they got a different biller. It might be actaully more effective--from a business perspective it definitely would be. His biller is terrible but otherwise I'd recommend.

Here is a physician that take everything into account, remembers the complexities of your case and will literally redo any test which might clarify an answer. I have had EMGs done before, but this has been the best. If you have a choice, choose Dr. Bakster.

Dr. Bakst diagnosed and is treating a somewhat rare disease that was making my life miserable. I had seen perhaps 10 other doctors who were unable to help me. He is brilliant, explains things well, and is just a great doctor.

I think Dr. Bakst is awesome. He is caring, gentle and correctly diagnosed me the first visit. Yes, Gloria is a POA but Kara is a joy and I just avoid everyone else.

I would recommend Dr Bakst he is a competent good natured Dr. However, make sure you get hard copies of all of you/loved ones test results. If you have to go back to office manager, Gloria you will have to deal with a very argumentative-difficult person. She will tell you 3-4 different stories about why she can't help you. Then when you finally agree to a solution she will change the story again. Huge waste of time and not very customer friendly.
