Dr. Isaac Namdar, MD

Dr. May be good, but dreadful practice. Can’t imagine a less responsive uncaring organization than Mt. Sinai ent.

I have been going to Dr Namdar for a number of years and even though i relocated 3 hours away i still travel to see him. Dr Namdar has always made me feel at ease with my condition - He is a consummate professional who has always treated me with respect and kindness. He has always taken time to listen to my concerns and discuss treatment options - The office staff has always been helpful and friendly and on the occasion i have had a travel issue they have rescheduled my appointment with no problems. I feel lucky to have Dr Namdar as my physician and surgeon and highly recommend him.

I have been seeing Dr. Namdar on and off for several years. First it was for a complete physical of ENT that I had not had since childhood. I did my research first and I found he is professional, thorough and expert. Then the Fall of 2017 I ended up with chronic bronchitis and laryngitis. The story is long including my internist, lung specialist, voice therapist and allergist; but I am glad I was already working with an ENT so finally when it came to his part and we decided to clean out those sinuses - my God I couldn't have asked for a better team lead by Dr. Namdar. I highly recommend him. We are not finished; but I am very pleased. As a professional speaker I need my breathing to be beyond par and I am particular, meticulous with high expectations when choosing someone. Dr. Namdar is it!

I've been going to another ENT for the longest time for my sinus problems and I always dreaded getting scoped. After my insurance changed I saw Dr. N for the first time. He made it so painless and pleasant to have my sinuses cleaned.

Dr. Namdar literally saved me from going insane. I was having these intense headaches on the one side of my face for 4 months. I was bounced from urgent care to my primary care to a neurologist to another ENT to a headache specialist to a second ENT, each one of them telling me that the pattern of my headaches did not make sense to them medically and there is no reason they could find to explain my headaches. Finally I gave up on my network of doctors and went online to see Dr. Namdar had the most awesome reviews on Zocdoc. By the time I showed up for my first appointment with him, I was an emotional mess and I just started crying as soon as he walked into the exam room. The super compassionate person that he is, he expertly calmed me down and reassured me. He then asked me some interesting questions about my headaches that no other previous doctor bothered to inquire about. With a quick local injection test in his office he was able to determine that the headaches are not… migraines and are not “just in my head” as I was told before by other doctors. Turned out a bony projection from my septum was stabbing the side wall. Once we reviewed the options, I decided to have that bone shaved in surgery. My headaches have completely disappeared and I owe it all to Dr. Namdar for being able to make a diagnosis like nobody did before and fixing the problem for me once and for all. Above all, his ability to expertly and delicately handle a fragile and desperate patient on the verge of psychotic breakdown (me) and still come up with the right diagnosis and treatment plan is something I have never experienced before.

He ruined my nose for life. He tricks you into consenting to unnecessary procedures. He does a cursory job with everything. He orders whatever will pay him at the expense of your nose and life.

Well I have to say this was an excellent visit. I did not know what to expect and Dr. Namdar was excellent from start to finish the office staff was great. I felt very comfortable. There was no wait time and Dr. Namdar was easy to talk with and I understood everything he explained. I will visit him again when needed.

Many times when you go to a doctor, you feel so intimidated by their personality. Dr. Namdar was the friendliest doctor I have ever seen. Compassionate, yet with an appropriate sense of humor to relieve my anxiety of seeing a doctor. Oh, and his diagnosis and treatment were right on, which I guess is the most important outcome from seeing a doctor.

I was pleasantly surprised to find an appointment to see Dr Namdar the same day in the middle of allergy season. He was very professional with me as he listened to all my concerns. He gave me a couple of prescriptions that made most of symptoms go away within a day. Plus, he hooked me up to see the allergist in his office for additional testing.To the person who left the comment about speech evaluation - It seems that you were in the wrong place to begin with. Cleft and such issues should be evaluated by a Pediatric ENT in a Cleft specialty center (my nephew had cleft). Don't blame the doctor if you made the wrong appointment to begin with.

This doctor really understands ENT problems. I am glad I went to him. Very couteous and concerned about me.
