Dr. Isabella R Peluso, MD

Dr Peluso is not organized. She is not empathetic. I expressed to her that I was concerned about my postpartum hair loss and she confirmed that my hair does look very thin/fine; she advised I stop breastfeeding my 9 month old son stating it is “ridiculous”.

When reading some of these reviews, I disagree and I had to wrtie this review. When my doctor for over 30 years decided to retire, Dr. Philip Benanti, I was forced to find a new Doctor and was recommend I see Dr. Peluso. She is a very good doctor, she does take the time to listen and she does care. I work in healthcare and due to all the electronic changes, on Line prescriptions, hospital changes, human errors, and taking under consideration that it is not always easy to get good help. All of these factors take away from the actual time that a doctor has to spend with a patient. The behind the scenes culture and work has changed drastically which sometimes can put a damper on the I Care implementation. It's not her, I recommend her to all my friends.

I have had Dr Isabella Rosa Peluso as my primary Dr for about 13 yrs now and now I have relocated To Florida so I will have to get a primary down in Florida now , I just want to make sure that I write this review with not just my opinion , but also everyone that I have spoken with in her offices and also family and friends that I have referred to Dr Peluso . Im sure I will see Dr Peluso When I am up in NY as my family is still leaving in Brooklyn . I give Dr Peluso 5 Stars . I read these other opinions and I am baffled . It sounds as if they are talking about someone else . Anyway do not hesitate to try and see her if you are looking for a doctor .I do not know if she is taking on new patients , but if she is you are lucky to get her . Alot of empathy has she .

I have never seen this doctor but have spoken to her on the phone when I had a problem. She was very rude and did not give me any answers to my problem. I didn't even think she was a doctor. She should go back to school and learn first how to talk to people. She told me to do something the opposite of what should have been done. Very unprofessional

Very arrogant...shows no sympathy. Becomes very defensive when you question her medical judgment. Don't know why she's in the medical field since she lacks compassion and in my opinion, is incompetent!

IF YOU WANT TO GET SICKER THIS IS THE DOCTOR FOR YOU

She is a part-time physician-only works two days a week. Her staff,particularly Kathy,in 18th Ave, office are rude and incompetent. Staff at 3rd Ave. office are excellent. Peluso makes vacation plans on the office phone while in the exam room with the patient-expecting s/he does not understand Italian. Refused to have her signature notarized, even though her office one floor above a bank. When I brought a notary to the office, Peluso made her wait 1/2 an hour for a signature. Peluso is rude and inconsiderate.
