Dr. Ivan Puente, MD

Never have I felt so second class in a doctors office! From the moment he walked in, Dr. Puente (I use his official title begrudgingly) was cold, and aloof. I felt like a check mark on his list he was required to deal with. Almost as if it was an inconvenience to have to attend to me. He was dry and disinterested with answering my questions, and did absolutely nothing to make me feel comfortable or secure in him as my potential surgeon. I understand that the primary concern of a doctor is the quality and precision of the surgery, but I felt so uncomfortable and brushed aside by this him, that I found another Doctor all together. Hopefully he learns to deal with his patients in a more personable way. I am appalled by the way I was treated!

I recently had surgery under Dr. Puente's care. The experience was excellent and I am well on to recovery.

He told me adamantly after two visits that I did not have abdominal adhesions. I consulted with another DR who told me within 10 minutes that I did, indeed, have adhesions, which were the cause of my chronic abdominal/pelvic pain. He then did laproscopic surgery and removed my adhesions. I cannot believe Dr Puente blew me off and dismissed me without taking my pain seriously. I am going to file a medical complaint now that I have the definitive diagnosis and have had the surgery.

Dr. Puente did a surgical breast biopsy on me - he was so skillfull that there is no visible scar - he carved around my nipple, but nobody can tell..he was caring, compassionate, during my follow-up visit
