Dr. Iver Kasenetz, MD

A very good doctor. Glad I know him.

Dr Kasenetz is very good!!! with a lot of experience and he treated me really well; unfortunately I cannot say the same thing about his assistant; she was no courteous at all; she does not greet anybody; it is a shame to see people doing a medical job with such an awful attitude towards the patients.

Dr. Kasenetz is pleasant, knowledgable, and put me at ease during my appointment.

I am a young female recently diagnosed with IC. It was upsetting and a shock, but I did not receive any counseling other than a barebones medical opinion. The office itself is a maze with very little privacy. The doctor yells your name down the hallway, doesn't even greet you. I was left in stirrups for close to 30min without any knowledge of when the doctor would come back. The exam room had double doors with a crack wide enough for passersby to peep in and see me entirely exposed. Not a pleasant experience.

The primary problems with the office of Dr Kasenetz are its physical infrastructure and electronic systems. This medical center building should have been renovated at least a decade ago. The building is very old and its wear and tear is very evident everywhere. There are dozens of Doctors of all types of specialties in the building. And I can't figure out why these Doctors don't insist on a better facility.The computer and electronic systems in Dr Kasenetz office are at least 20 years old. His staff writes appointments down in college ruled notebook binders instead of into a computer. Even though they were Courteous their methods are anything but professional simply due to the outdated systems. By writing down appointments in notebook information can easily get loss or overlooked. That's what happened to me. And I believe this is why I never received a follow-up. Results from outside test the doctor requested had been forwarded to his office by the other medical centers but got… misplaced in his office. Months later, his staff called me to ask if I ever had the test performed and only then were they able to search and find the results. Better more modern computer systems would have prevented this.If he can't get the building owners to upgrade the infrastructure and systems, I think Dr Kasenetz would be better off finding a new space. Because of the condition of the place and the system/methods employed, I did not return and would not recommend it to someone else even though Dr. Kasenetz was very thorough and knowledgeable.Lastly, the co-pay was really low for a specialist on my insurance plan. He should relocate and increase his rates in line with what every other specialist is allowed to charge for services.
