Dr Cole and his team fixed my mom after she had a fall and a very complex fracture of her hip and femur. She was 87 yrs old and on Coumadin. Ocala hospitals could not do the surgery so dr Cole accepted her. She was in such severe pain. The surgeon in Ocala explained the injury to me and I was so worried because it was so severe and I couldn’t see how it could be repaired. Been wanting to let people know what a great surgeon dr Cole is. Thank you dr Cole for saving my mom’s life.

My wife had a hip replacement 7 years ago by Dr. Cole, and it has been a total change in her ability to walk and exercise. She was active before a hip dislocation that she lived with for quite a while until seeing Dr. Cole. She was extremely happy with the new hip, and with Dr. Cole. 7 years later, my left hip was extremely painful, so I also went to Dr. Cole. My wife and I had been doing Tai Chi for about 3 years, and it got to the point where I could no longer participate, because of the pain. Dr. Cole diagnosed very bad arthritis and cysts, and said that I also needed a hip replacement. That was two weeks ago, and I am now walking normally, and almost pain free. Yesterday, he released me to drive, go back to doing Tai Chi, and whatever else I needed to do. He was surprised at my rapid recovery, which I attribute to his excellent surgical skills, and to my Tai Chi background. He is the man to see if you have any kind of joint issues.

Dr. Cole is one of the best orthopedic trauma surgeon in the country. He fixed my broken hip about six years ago. Based on that experience, I went to him for a knee replacement four months ago. Now I'm hiking, biking, paddle boarding, etc. I'm far ahead of others I know who have had knee replacements. Having gotten to know him somewhat, I can tell you that Dr. Cole is a perfectionist. He uses high-quality implants and the most modern technology. He is obsessive-compulsive about avoiding infections, which is why he has the lowest infection rate at Florida Hospital (you DO NOT want an infection in a joint implant). He prioritizes his patients above all else. He also is a good guy. In you have a serious fracture or need a new knee or hip, you're just not going to do any better. Anywhere in the country.

22yrs ago I fell 3 stories on to concrete and steal. Crushing my pelvis hip and what I think would be my ball and socket of my hip. He was 1 of 2 Dr.s in FL. They said could put me back together. I am still walking and w/ very little pain everyday. Not a lot of bedside manner lol. Very business like. But serious about his work. I thank God everyday for what he did for me. And would definitely recommend him to Anyone! And have many times. Thank you Dr. Cole. Your the best ever

I went to Dr Cole because of a car accident that broke my Tibia and Fibula back in 1983. Unfortunately my bones did not heal correctly. My already flat foot now caused a terrible amount of pronation. I had to where orthotic arches and leg boot but to no avail. This was very painful because of the arthritis that developed. So I looked for an orthopedist (Dr Cole) In Orlando 1992 Dr Cole told me he was very confident that he could re-brake the bones(fib +tib) and fit me with an external fixator. He even took a video of my walking before the operation with a plan to take another video after the surgery to compare what he stated would be a significant improvement. Once the bones healed(4 months) I saw there was no change whatsoever in my foot and ankle. My foot had still turned in (pronation) was exactly as bad as before the operation. What really shocked me was when I politely brought this to his attention he threatened to have me thrown out of his office. … This arrogance he displayed with no feeling for my pain and suffering was beyond belief. And guess what he did not follow up with an "after" video like he said he would. Obviously he knew he failed. After moving out of Orlando I went to another orthopedist recommended by by several people. My new Doctor stated that the operation Cole performed was a farce. He couldn't believe that he would perform an operation that was obviously worthless. My new Dr. suggested the PROPER procedure which involved re-braking the heal and building up the arch. It was a GOD SEND. My foot in now 100% better! I just wish I had used him in the first place instead of suffering for 20 years after Dr Cole's incompetence. All Cole did was re-brake my Fibula and Tibia which obviously does not address my heal rotation and fallen arch. The external fixation also caused a serious Staph infection which prompted Cole to remove the bolts thru my leg and drill again in my bone to install the bolts in a second positions.I was put on IV and oral antibiotics. I had never had to much pain in my life. My new Doctor rebuilt my foot and heal all internally so as to not introduce Staph from infecting me. If Dr Cole would have just been honest with the results and treated me me respectfully I would have understood and accepted the failed results. Of course Surgery dictates that not all operations can be successful and there are risks. But after a year later Dr Cole just basically booted me out of his office apparently because I dared to question why my foot and ankle were still deformed. To me that kind of arrogance has no place in medicine. A patient should be treated in a humane and therapeutic manner.

Nobody is better at fixing broken bones. Period.

In 2010, Dr. Cole was the only doctor who was able to see beyond the obvious, where several other doctors and physical therapists only saw a symptom. I was in pain for 2 years while trying to find the right doctor. Other doctors were clueless; Dr. Cole fixed the root cause of acute heel pain, which was not plantar fasciitis or heel spur. Six months later I was jogging again, 9 months later I ran a 15K. I'm still pain free 9 years later.

He was my savior in 2003, and I went back for another surgery in 2017, he has done at least 4 surgeries on me. He was very precise in making sure my legs were the same length after both being broke. He is just a Saint.
