Dr. Ja-Hong Kim, MD

She is very caring and attentive doctor. I enjoyed my experience. Really lovely woman. Phew!

In all of my 61 years I’ve never seen a more cold, condescending, uncaring doctor. I don’t think she even read my chart! Her assistants ask preliminary questions and she asks the very simple and basic same questions. She interrupts and talks over you. I was referred for a possible implant and she said “You don’t need one!” without explaining. Then she marched out of the room. Absolutely no emotion whatsoever. Rudest doctor I’ve ever encountered.

Dr Kim emailed me and told me she could help me, when every doctor I had seen before her said they were unable to fully remove the mesh sling. She spent a lot of time with and answered questions I had. She is very busy and can come across as being rushed, but she is doing all that she can to make sure every women is saved from mesh complications. She removed every bit of mesh, comfirmed by tests, and has helped me tremendously when other doctors weren't educated in mesh complications. She removed the sling in one surgery and her fellows assisted me in post op care, too. Do not let anyone do meh revisions, partials, or clippings. Go to UCLA and see Dr Kim. She is thorough and determined to get every bit of mesh out.

Dr Kim spent less then 10 minutes and was impatient, rude and curt. When I asked her questions about my condition she gave me curt, one word answers. I filled out a lengthy questionnaire beforehand and a young assistant dr asked all the same questions but dr Kim seems to know little about that information. I do not want a partner like this to help me tackle my IC-I'll find someone else.

Dr. Ja hong kim saved my life i love her beyond belief i can't thank her enough for all the prompt email responses and the amazing attentive behavior she has shown me.

Had two bladder mesh's by C.R Bard that was falling apart inside my body, I had adhesions, stones, removed by dr Kim at UCLA she is THE BEST!!! This Lady should be used by all bladder mesh issues....

Dr. Kim always have the best interest of her patients at heart. She will order tests to look for the cause of the problem and suggest effective medical remedies. She is a specialist who care a lot about the medical well being of her patients. I'm so glad to finally found an excellent doctor who treated me.

Dr.Kim botched my bladder sling causing me two hernias where she removed too much from my muscles and rolled the fat up above the incision. The day after surgery I waited over 1+1/2 hours to see a doctor by an appointment and found out no doctor was coming.When I complained they said I could leave if I didn't like it. I was very upset and complained louder-they called security on me at 72 years old. I now need surgery to fix the problems she caused.

Dr. Kim is a terrible doctor not worthy of any patient's time. She completely misdiagnosed my condition and was arrogant throughout the appointment. She was also rude enough to laugh during our initial consult and overall, extremely immature and unprofessional. She does not listen and talks down to patients but worst of all, she is incompetent. Dr. Kim is part of the smug, foreign born elitist UCLA racket of urologists who demand expensive urodynamic tests ($1,000) that take a month to process and put patients through unnecessary pain and suffering. Avoid this doctor. One more thing patients should know is that she is tiny, less than five feet tall and could technically be a dwarf by medical standards. No joke. Seriously, would you want an important pelvic surgery done by someone who has the size, strength and maturity of a child?
