Dr. Jac Daniel Marden, MD

Drug addict. He would be shaky and clammy and he was known to do drugs at work.

I had an appointment with Dr. Marden on Dec 20th, 2016. When I showed up the office was closed and no one called me or new why. Its now Jan. 17th, 2017 and he still missing. His answering service does not know where he is. Hope he is alive.

I saw Dr Marden annually for 3 yrs. Over this time I was called to reschedule because Dr. Marden didn't come in. My final appoint (3yr check up) I asked to reschedule 4 different times and was called the day of my appoint. I asked what was the problem with Dr. Marden having to reschedule and the staff was vague and just said we never know until the morning of the appointment whether he's coming in or not. This is a very unprofessional way to run a medical practice. Yet I still see ads running in the local paper for Dr. Marden. I guess if you're going to treat your patients as I was treated you will need to be advertising for new patients to replace the ones you once had. I'm sure I'm not the only one who decided I need a Doc who's going to regularly show up.

I am at a loss reading the negative reviews. I have been going to him for a few years and never saw any of the alleged rudeness. His diagnostics are excellent. His knowledge is excellent. Time spent with patient is good, and ability to explain the problem is excellent. The only real downside is the long wait. I think they could do a better job with the scheduling.

EXCELLENT DIAGNOSTICIAN...I WAS DIAGNOSED WITH A V. RARE & POTENTIALLY LETHAL DISEASE, DERMATOMYOSITIS. DR. MARDEN CONFIRMED IT WITHIN 3 APPTS. WITH TEST RESULTS. HIS WORKUP WAS MORE THOROUGH THAN 99% I HAVE EVER HAD AND WAS COMPLIMENTED ON BY OTHER SPECIALISTS INVOLVED IN MY CASE. I CAN RECOMMEND DR. MARDEN HIGHLY.

It has been several years since I saw Dr. Marden. They didn't even have these blogs then. I went in for a skin check. He took a suspicious scraping to be sent to the lab and made a follow-up appointment. I had to cancel the follow-up appt. and reschedule so it was about a month before I went back. When he came in he said, "So should we take care of the abnormal site 1st?" I told him I had not been notified of anything abnormal and if I had I would not have rescheduled my appt. He became very defensive and said "I was in a good mood before I came in here!" Needless to say, so was I. He was very upset that I thought I should have been notified and said "well let's just take care of it." I said "I don't think so." He left the room and I left the office never to return. Most unprofessional. I had no idea he had such a bad reputation until I read these blogs. I felt better knowing he didn't just treat me that way !!

My first visit for myself seemed fine so I took my child. I am so relieved to see the other negative reviews as I was aghast by how UNPROFESSIONAL, and BEYOND RUDE he was. The staff was good but I wanted to give him 0 stars. Something horrible must have happened to this man that he has not recovered from or a MENTAL ILLNESS for him to treat people this way. I can not frankly believe the horrible experience we just had. He told my son what could be very scary news and that it was for the rest of his life without explaining (my family doctor told us later it was not so bad after my son was literally TRAUMATIZED by Dr. Marden) My son became upset and he started questioning him rudely... my boy started crying and said I don't know . He Asked me what is the problem. Starting to be a bit shocked I thought to say well imagine if you were a young boy and just heard hard news but all I could get out was "Imagine if you were a boy... and He snapped and started very loudly said "DON'T BE… CONDECENDING TO ME!" I was shocked and all I could think of was telling him how that felt that it hit my stomach to hear him say that and that my heart rate was racing. This really flipped him out, he started babbling "no... this... no... I can"t... NO I tried to calm things saying I am talking softly.. you are raised voice... he became more volatile and then kicked me out of his office. I was trying to tell the office person what happened and he came back out to the front and became very hostile. This man needs help and should not be allowed to practice medicine! GOD BLESS HIM!!!

I was referred to Dr. Marden by my doctor and decided to read reviews prior to my appointment. I must admit, I seriously considered canceling my appointment after reading the reviews, but decided to go and see for myself, and I am so glad I made that decision. Now that I have been to see Dr. Marden, I am really surprised at some of the reviews. The staff could not have been more friendly, from the front office to the nurse. On one note, yes, I did have about a 45 minute wait, but what I noticed is that unlike some doctor appointments I have been to, they did not call you back and make you sit in the examining room 30 minutes or longer. I noticed one person being called at a time and when that person was coming out another person was called. This allowed each patient to have the doctor's full attention. There were 2 other people in the waiting room when I was called and Dr. Marden came into the room less than 5 minutes from the time I entered the room and spent at least 15 to 20… minutes with me. I never felt rushed and after addressing my initial problem, he then answered and examined any other place I had a concern with. He even took the time to explain the difference in sunscreens with me and which ones were the best for my complexion. It does not bother me to wait when I know I am getting the attention and time with the doctor I need when it is my turn, which I did! I will definitely be coming back and would recommend Dr. Marden to my family and friends.

He was totally rude to me the third time I seen him. At first he was pretty nice but then he started to get real arrogant and rude to me. I will not return to him again!

Not sure why all the negative reviews... Maybe if you act like a jerk, you get treated like one... Yes, I had a good wait but when I got in, they appologized for the wait and I was treated good. Dr. Marden was concerned about my case and treated me well... Took his time and working out for me so far... recommended...
