Dr. Finnell, who was born and raised in the Rochester area, is a 1988 graduate of Brighton High School. He received his bachelors of science degree in biology from St. Lawrence University in 1992, and went on to receive his medical degree from Bostons Tufts University School of Medicine in 1996. Dr. Finnell completed his residency at the University of Rochester in 1999. He is an American Board of Pediatrics certified pediatrician who currently holds the position of Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Rochester, and has admitting privileges at Strong Memorial Hospital, Highland Hospital and Rochester General Hospital. Dr. Finnell is an avid fan of all sports including soccer and scholastic wrestling. He lives in Pittsford with his wife and two children.
