Dr. Jack Saban

This is the worst dentist office I have ever been to. The dentist wife who is the front desk manager is rude, unprofessional and a racist to say the least. I would not go back if this was the only existing dentist in Florida.

Advising new patients of Dr. Saban that we were new patients who had our first appointment for teeth cleaning on Jan 3, 2019. My 15 year old son was to have his teeth cleaned. Precisely as another poster here observed, Dr. Saban looked into my son's mouth 5 seconds and said he needs a "deep cleaning," and it will cost use $175.00 out of pocket above and beyond insurance reimbursement. After getting over the shock of hearing a dentist strongly suggesting I agree to something I do to my ink jet printer to be done on my son's teeth, I asked what is this and why? I said every other dentist performs below-gum scraping as part of a standard cleaning. Dr. Saban became defensive and condescending, reminding me I'm a pedestrian and he's a doctor. He continued with a warning my son's gums were inflamed and needed scraping below the gum line to avoid big trouble soon. He showed me the gums (which were NOT red nor inflamed, as he claimed) and, after I questioned why he calls this a "deep cleaning"… at a $175 surcharge when every other dentist performs this process as a regular cleaning, he said "You need to go to another specialist...I'm not for you!" I am relating my experience with this individual. I cannot speak for anyone else's experience with Dr. Saban, but I have NO confidence in his medical ethics and in closing recommend Caveat Emptor!

I went in for a regular routine cleaning that is paid for by my insurance. They asked me if I wanted a deep cleaning which cost more and I said “no”. So the dental assistant (not the hygienist) proceeded to polish my teeth and tell me that that was a regular cleaning at their office. No scaling at all. Just a polish. Then I am sure they billed the insurance for the full cleaning. I will never go back there again. They looked at me like I was crazy. They said that if they did anything further it would be a deep cleaning!

Dr Saban is the dentist you will refer your friends and family too. Trust me, he is that good. Office staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. I have a crazy work schedule and they are always very accommodating. Office is centrally located in Plantation at the corner of University and Broward. Do yourself a favor and make an appointment today.
