Dr. Jack Emile Saux, MD

He is my best friends oncologist. She had Stage 4 breast cancer. He talks down to her and treats her like she’s stupid . She’s far from stupid! They lost her first PET scan so had nothing to compare the 2nd scan to. The scan came out good but her numbers went up. No one could explain it. I would never trust him or his staff. Just run from this doctor. Don’t walk, run!

I was a nurse for 35 years. My daughter went to him. I absolutely love this man.He is smart,quirky, caring. He tries everything in his power to help his patients. He explains everything, and most of all, he listens. He spent alot of time with his patients. I highly recommend him. A fellow nurse took her daughter to him. She loves him to.

I was referred to him, but was not impressed by my experience yesterday and will NEVER go back.

After surgery, radiation and Chemo, I am cancer free! I didn't expect the chemo to take so long to get over but it is better then the alternative. As difficult as Chemo recovery is, easy to stay positive knowing there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Better to be lying down on the right side of the grass. Dr Saux is great THANKS DOC

Dr. Saux is an intelligent doctor who has entirely too large of a patient load. He relies heavily on his nurse practitioners to make sure things are not overlooked. This is not acceptable. Things fall through the cracks and important test are not scheduled in timely manner at the expensive of our loved ones. When dealing with cancer an early diagnosis is the best prognosis. By the time a patient experiences pain it is often too late. Imaging is often done 24 hours a day 7 days a week there is absolutely no reason a person should wait 3 weeks for a ct, mri, or x ray.

I presented to Dr. Saux for a diagnosis of Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia. He had not reviewed my prior records whatsoever, did not examine me at all, and was dressed in a pirate outfit with painted nails and wearing flip flops. He honestly looked like a clown! And the most disturbing thing of all was that he was adamant that I needed to suffer through 6 cycles (months) of the standard intravenous chemotherapy (FCR) which has been around for over fifty years now. Unfortunately, I speculate that his recommednation in that regard was in order to make obscene profits for St. Tammnay Parish Hospital. I am happy to say that I was wise enough not to accept Dr. Saux's recommendation. Instead, I continued to do my own research, with the help of my wife, which lead me to Dr. Philip Thompson at MD Anderson. Dr. Thompson advised me that approximately 40% of patients with my type of Leukemia not only are not cured by FCR chemotherapy, but in fact, that the Leukemia comes back with a vengeance,… oftentimes resulting in the patient's death! I was fortunately accepted into a clinical trial at MDA and am now treating with an advanced form of IV chemo, in combination with an an oral medication and immunotherapy, and I feel better than I have in years. Dr. Thompson advises me that so far, 100% of the 40 patients who have undergone the same clinical trial I am going through have actually been CURED of CLL. If you have cancer, you MUST control your own treatment and avoid Dr. Saux and STPH like the plague. I cannot recommend more strenuously that you seek treatment with the physicians at MD Anderson instead.

I met Dr. saux, 11 years ago when I had colon cancer, he treated me with respect was respectful to my concerns and he listens. Now here I am again, with breast cancer, and who did I want to care for me, Dr. Jack E. Saux, he and his staff are wonderful, helpful and concern about the ppl that walk into that office, of course who wants cancer, no one but...if u need a Dr with a good background, professional, kind then Dr. Saux is your man.

Dr Saux is a wonderful doctor and a great guy. Great bedside manner and a super diagnostician.
