Dr. Jack Emile Scariano JR., MD

My appointment with Dr. Scariano was great. I have been fighting with the VA since 2012 concerning a TBI that I suffered while I was in the Army. Dr. Scariano and his nurse were very methodical during the exam, pointing out many mistakes that the 4 VA neurologists had made in the past. If I ever need to seek out a neurologist in the future, I would definitely pick Dr. Scariano and his entire staff.

I have been seeing Dr. Jack for 2 yaers now, He is very nice, except he is dealing with his own medical issues and sometimes dosent remeber who he is taliking to. He told m I have Parkinson;s on Steroids now I see his other other Partner and the First think she says after reviweing my sympotoms and seeing me and she blurts out your dont have Parkinsons you have ALS. I told her there is a big dffence between the two. They wanted a Nero surgeon to check my neck to see if they were causing the constant muscle twicting and weakness. After the Appointment the answer was no the neck does not cause the issues. I go back and I have a MRI of the BRAIN and a EMG scheduled. To see if I am going to be diagnosed with ALS. Very confusing and frustrating. But the are friendly,

Dr Scarianos EMG tech had the personality of a pencil. Didn't introduce himself until I asked. Did not identify his technical experience, until I asked. Didn't explain what he was going to do, or was doing until I asked. As a licensed healthcare professional I found this unnerving and unprofessional. The office staff were great. and so was Dr. Scariano. Spent time with me and answered all my questions. I definitely would see him again if I didn't have to see the pencil tech.

I had a very bad experience with the medical staff. I had an appointment at 10:00 am one morning and didn't get waited on me even after an hour and a half. I then left. As a result, I would not recommend to this office.

The people of this office have taken steps to make this office as comfortable as possible including replacing the old chairs in the waiting room with new ones. I love coming here. I feel like I am treated as a person rather than just a number.

After waiting 2 1/2 hrs. in the waiting room, I waited another 30 min. in examining room. I finally got tired of it all and stated if someone didn't come, I'm leaving. The whole family seems to run this place and there is little professionalism. They didn't get to the problem and wanted to order tests, I already had! The waiting/exam rooms were dirty and the chairs were stained. I feel offended that VA persons are treated so tacky!! They are doctors that should never be recommend!!!!

Dr Scariano is an outstanding doctor that goes out of his way to make sure his patients are taken care of. My appointment was originally at 9 this morning but I wasn't able to make it but this doctor agreed to see me at 5 pm because he cares about the well being of me. These negative reviews are preposterous and these people obviously don't appreciate the kind of care this extraordinary doctor gives to his patients.

Very pleased with having him as my doctor. Dr. Scariano has been in practice for 35 years in Knoxville and he truly cares about me as a patient. Him and his staff are really great in terms of understanding my issues and going about treating those ailments to the utmost best of their abilities

Made my wife seizure free. Before him she had been having seizures for 30 years. Since she's been seeing him she hasn't had a seizure in over 5 years. Thank you so much

He was very thorough and he made sure I understood what I was going through and how best to go about treating it
