Dr. Jack Thaw, PhD

Before seeing Dr. Thaw I'd seen dozens of therapists, none of whom were much help. Dr. Thaw is well educated, has decades of experience, and is sharply perceptive. There's not one visit with him that has not proven valuable to my mental well being, and he has done wonders to aid my emotional healing after numerous traumas.

Dr. Thaw got right to the heart of the matter and then worked with me on tangible methods to use to overcome my issues. Definitely would recommend!

been seeing dr thaw for many years and has he has basically just stopped taking insurance...what disregard to your patients who cannot afford out of pocket insurance prices...so just left to the curbside after building a good relationship and trust. he was a very good dr when we saw him..not happy with him leaving us stranded to start all over with another dr

After several months of couples therapy (and seeing spouse for over a year), dropped our insurance coverage. With an 8,000 out-of-network deductible, this leaves us stranded mid-treatment. Plus, without insurance discount, our session costs would more than double. What if a surgeon stopped mid-surgery and said they would only continue of you paid cash out-of-pocket for the rest of surgery? CT has no continuity of service law, so we are stuck. This is cruel to do to people who are already in pain.
