Dr. Jack Allison Walters, MD

I had an incredibly disappointing experience with this doctor. He didn’t introduce himself when he entered, which already felt dismissive. Instead of taking the time to review my chart thoroughly or address my concerns (keep in mind I mentioned to him that I came in and had an emergent C-Section because of my BP. My BP is still high and swelling in my feet, ankles, calves, and my face have not subsided. He seemed quick to push for discharge without even examining the specific area of pain, which at this time time has spread to my upper legs. I initially came to the hospital due to elevated blood pressure, and the situation turned more serious as I was later diagnosed with preeclampsia. His bedside manner left much to be desired, as he came across as arrogant, with an attitude that seemed to say, “I know better because I went to medical school.” This kind of demeanor is not only unhelpful but also dangerous when patients need genuine care and attention. If I hadn’t advocated for… myself and requested to still be monitored as opposed to be sent home with a BP of 161/119 and a second reading of 176/106 only to say, “he saw the previous readings that were “okay” and ones just taken have not been recorded” I refused to be discharged, I would have left with no real answers or solutions-which I feel is still the case. Please, always advocate for yourself in situations like this. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this doctor to anyone.”

Horrible doctor with rude and disrespectful bedside manner. Either this man has been practicing too long and no longer cares, or he never cared to begin with. Dismissed pain and contractions of 27 week pregnant patient as “normal discomforts of pregnancy”, instructed patient to go home and take Tylenol and deal with it. Unfortunately, patient later diagnosed by a competent Dr with bladder spasms and Braxton hicks to be monitored for rest of pregnancy at high-risk. This Dr Walter’s should be ashamed of himself.

Dr. Walters has been hard to replace. I would always recommend him.
