Jackson Salvant, MD

I don't agree with ANY of the negative comments regarding Dr. Salvant's bedside manner. I first met with the PA on a Wednesday and was promptly scheduled for a CT scan, lumbar puncture, and an MRI. I was then scheduled to see Dr. Salvant on Friday (the last appointment of the day). Dr. Salvant spend a long time with us, reviewing each and every image that was taken. In my case, the imaging didn't reveal the location of my problem, nor did it confirm the problem. Dr. Salvant was patient, unrushed, carefully considered all of our questions, answered them thoroughly, and demonstrated absolute humility in offering us the option for a 2nd opinion. I think he's great!

This doctor apparently did not review my records thoroughly prior to talking to me. His PA did the examination and prescribing of prescriptions at his direction. He was ready to send me to physical therapy "again" not knowing I had just completed PT had he reviewed my records. The prescriptions prescribed for Osteoarthritis will cause internal bleeding if you have Gastrointestinal problems, which I have. Another indication he had not reviewed my records thoroughly. Too busy trying to impress trainee.

Dr. Salvant is rather rude and condescending in his manner. He does not explain things very well and absolutely refuses to return a phone call.

awesome staff and physician. He takes time with you to make sure you understand your situation. he performed and two level surgical fusion on me and seems to be healing well.

can I shower and get surgical area wet does this procedure cause itching {mainly around eyes and ears}

L4-L5 Laminectomy w/fusuion 2009. Picture perfect and took all the time I wanted to talk and answer questions. Lots of follow up visits with good feedback. A rare and gifted surgon.
