Dr. Jacob Braunstein, MD

My orthopedic doctor Jabob Braunstein has a high level of professionalism, both expertise and ethics. I was injured in an accident with 2 pieces (2cm and 1cm) of glass thin tubes stabbed and left in my shank. I first went to one hospital, the doctors there told me that they cannot remove the glasses by surgery as it would be complicated, and persuaded me that it will be OK to have them in my body. That was hard for me to believe. Thus I went to Scripps and found Dr. Braunstein. Without hesitation, he decided to remove the glasses via surgery since he was afraid that the glasses will cause painful discomfort for my life time if "have them in my body". Soon after, the surgery was arranged and carried out smoothly by him. The glasses were removed and now I am fine. It's REALLY OK now! Thank you very much Dr. Braunstein! Dr. Braunstein is an exceptional surgeon. He performed a Total Ankle Replacement, Achilles repair, and other foot surgeries for me. He is one of the few surgeons doing TAR in Southern California and he is the best one. I'm so happy that I can walk again! Thank you, Dr Braunstein and your team for getting me back to my legs.
