Dr. Jacob Brodsky joined the Department of Otolaryngology and Communication Enhancement at Boston Children’s Hospital following his fellowship in Pediatric Otolaryngology in 2012.Although experienced in all facets of Pediatric Otolaryngology, Dr. Brodsky’s primary area of clinical expertise is in the medical and surgical management of pediatric middle and inner ear disease, including hearing loss, congenital ossicular anomalies, cholesteatoma, and chronic otitis media. He is trained in endoscopic ear surgery (EES), which allows most ear surgeries to be performed entirely through the ear canal in a minimally invasive fashion with less pain and a quicker recovery than traditional, microscope-based ear surgery.
Dr. Brodsky is also an expert on the management of pediatric vestibular and balance disorders. He directs the Balance and Vestibular Program at Boston Children’s Hospital, which was one of the first and remains one of the largest dedicated pediatric vestibular …programs in the world.

My daughter has been a patient of Dr. Brodsky since 2014. He has always been kind and compassionate. He always takes his time to explain everything going on with my daughter. She has had several surgeries with him. When I reach out to his office I always get a message or call back the same day. He has even called after hours just to make sure he could explain things to me when needed.

Dr. Brodsky was the first doctor after SO many to listen to my concerns. I could tell he read through my extensive history before the appointment. He diagnosed me in 1 hour where all the other doctors couldn’t and basically told me it was in my head. Dr. Brodsky has amazing bedside manner and made sure I left with no questions! Would highly recommend

Dr. Brodsky explained the situation thoroughly and persisted until he found a solution that was not immediately apparent. We love him!

Our son had tubes placed in his ears. Dr. Brodsky was fine for surgery, however we had significant complications following that he did not attend to. He never once saw us after surgery, only his PA. I kept booking with him since we had a major issue when one of his ears had a huge amount of blood coming out. Our pediatrician asked us to see him urgently, and when I called, I was given an appointment 3 weeks out. On the date of the appt, he clearly had something more important to do, and again, did not see us, just his PA. His PA is nice, but was not giving us any treatment options. His ear was completely blocked by scab, to the point that he failed a hearing test. I finally switched to MASS EYE AND EAR and had surgery booked immediately with them. They have been much more accommodating and caring towards us.

We've seen Dr Brodsky a few times and he comes off as arrogant and lacks empathy. I did not feel like he cared at all about my child or his experience or discomfort. He minimized my questions and concerns with condescending facial expressions.
