Dr. Jacob Chemmalakuzhy, MD

I was told that I had some form of disease that made my heart weak which was diagnosed on a heart MRI. I knew something was wrong because I was getting short of breath even walking 100 feet. When comments like heart transplant are mentioned, my wife and I decided to get another opinion and came to see Dr. Chemmalakuzhy. He reviewed all my records beforehand and first thing he said when we met is let's not talk about transplant yet. The next 45 minutes was an extensive review, exam and discussion of options. The following week he performed a heart biopsy and he said what I had was not serious and can be treated without a transplant. I am on medicines and feeling better but most importantly he empowered me and gave me strength to get better. Amazing man but also a physician with the most compassion I have ever met. Thank you sir.

He explains complex medical issues without a doubt, bases decisions on science but with a splash of humanity. This is a wonderful doctor. He is so patient and kind. My husband received a bad report and had a hard time handling the results. Dr. Jacob was so thoughtful....he held our hand and walked us through all the steps. He did not leave until we felt comfortable.

I went to see Dr. Jake for a second opinion. He answered so many of my questions and applied a logic that I could understand as an engineer. He saved me from a lot of costly procedures and tests. It is refreshing to meet someone who practices conservative medicine. He put my unique situation and health first and I truly appreciated that.
