Jacque T. LaBarre, MD, FACOG, is an OB-GYN doctor at WK Doctors for Women. He has treated a broad range of obstetric and gynecologic conditions in the Shreveport area for more than 35 years. In addition to routine well-woman exams and high-risk obstetrics, Dr. LaBarre specializes in advanced laparoscopic and minimally invasive robotic surgeries for gynecologic conditions. He believes in a respectful doctor-patient relationship and remains current with the latest treatment options that enable him to provide the best possible healthcare for his patients.

Pregnancy and childbirth are events to celebrate in a woman’s life. Dr. LaBarre enjoys delivering babies and works to ensure safe delivery for the mother and child. This is reflected in his care philosophy to treat every patient as delicately as his own wife and mother.

He graduated with a Bachelor of Science pre-medicine degree …from Nicholls State University in 1979. He then graduated from LSU Medical Center-Shreveport, where he also completed his OB-GYN residency. Dr. LaBarre is certified in OB-GYN by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (FACOG). Dr. LaBarre is also certified in advanced laparoscopy by the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists.

When not seeing patients, Dr. LaBarre enjoys spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. His hobbies include photography, woodworking and reading.

Dr. LaBarre, 26 years ago today, I came to the Highland Hospital Emergency Room, I did not know that I was in labor and we were waiting for Dr. Paul Crawford your associate at the time to come. You asked if you could take care of me until he came and I was so impressed with your bedside manner. So this is a belated thank you from a very grateful mother.

Everything was great. Love Dr. Labarre. Wait time was a little long about 45 minutes.

Been going to him for years!! He know his stuff. But if you a needy personl like me? Don't go. Try a woman. He has good nurses but he just need to channel that empathy for a woman

Performed an unnecessarily expensive procedure poorly. After surgery I was left with an incisional hernia because he had entrapped my gut in incision. When I went to 1 week post check-up, he failed to recognize bowel obstruction and sent me home with anti-nausea meds. Had emergency surgery 4 days later. Just as bad, he marked one of my incisions with marker so I am permanently tattooed. Avoid this one at all costs.

Dr. Lebarre is a fantastic doctor. He always told me how things would go and he always kept his word. No question was ever a dumb question to him. He is very understanding and wants to make sure you understand what's going on. He delivered my son and I don't believe any other doctor could have provided the care and concern like he did! He needs 5 stars not 4!

Dr. Labarre is wonderful. He was my OB in 2006 and delivered my daughter. As soon as she was born he held her up with a big smile on his face and let my husband take a picture of them. He came by a couple of days after she was born to check on us, and it looked like it was his day off. He is very caring. I live in Tennessee now, and me and my husband are thinking about having another baby. I really wish my doctor could be Dr. Labarre, because I don't think I wll find one as good as him.

He is the best of his type. Very caring, understanding, and spends the time with you that you think you need. I have polycystic ovaries, and Dr. Labarre is the only doctor that i have seen, and I have seen many, that was able to get my problem under control without insisting on surgery. He is great!
