Dr. Jacqueline Azelvandre, DO

This doctor was assigned to me as my PCP this year. I saw the doctor once. I liked her but she doesn't treat patients like me. She told me "Whenever you need a referral, just call". She said NOTHING about having to come in to be re-diagnosed every time I need a referral. I've called for referrals and it's always been a problem. Always inconsistencies over the phone. "No, we haven't diagnosed you with a sleep disorder", then "Yes, we faxed everything over to your sleep doctor". Fast forward to today. I went to a specialist twice. Of course, Azelvandre never sent the referral. Claim denied. My insurance company said Azelvandre could "backdate" one for me. I contacted her office and was told that wasn't possible. My insurance company INSISTS it's possible. Expensive lesson learned, thanks doc! This is a kind doctor with a very sloppy practice and a VERY confused support team. I'm glad I switched insurance companies. I'm never going back.

My goodness. I feel badly for the people who have been unhappy with Dr. Azelvandre in any way. I have been seeing her as my primary care doctor for a number of years. I can't recall how long which tells me it's been a while. I've never had any issues with her, her staff, wait time, etc. Quite the contrary. I've never waited more that 10 min +/- for my scheduled appointments. I get appointments quickly. I feel she spends adequate time with me and is professional and helpful.

Dr. A. is the best. SHe cares, sometimes you have to wait, but well worth the wait. I would recommend her to anyone that values compassion, caring and focused personal attention. I have read the few other comments but suspect all of these people would not be hapy no matter where they went. Dr. A. gets an A from me.
