Dr. Jacqueline Sara Jeruss, MD

Arrogant, egotistical power hungry sorry excuse for a physician. She demeaned both myself and my mother, then she laughed at me because I requested fertility preservation in my late 30’s. She said you want fertility preservation and laughed like a 6th grade bully. She refused to give any information when I continued to ask. She rolled her eyes and scoffed at all of my questions then after about 10 min in the room said she has more important things to do and walked off as I was speaking. She gets away with what she does at U of M because of her husband. She’s is despicable. Not to mention she knew nothing and her NP had to answer everything. Power hungry egotistical prejudiced and rude. Doctors in her department say her rate of clean margins are low, esthetic work is poor and her attitude is disgusting. Fortunately had my surgery elsewhere, but was threatened to face repercussions for not having surgery with her and I did by others in her department. You’ve been warned, I’m a doctor… and she did this to me.

Dr Jeruss cares, understands patients and is highly skilled surgeon in the field. She did great job in my mastectomy surgery. All other health professionals who saw/examined my incision were amazed by her work. I trust her and highly recommend her to other patients.

Not only did she overstep her bounds in delivering information as a surgeon, she was rude, unprofessional, and completely wrong with her assessment. I firmly believe Dr Jeruss gave me an opinion because she was just not capable or comfortable with the surgery I needed. I sought another opinion and that surgeon saved my life. Dr Jeruss put me in my grave.

She is well informed in her field and kind hearted.

I have never been treated more rudely and unprofessionally in my life! There was no respect, kindness, compassion or understanding in her demeanor at all. She was actually insulting! This is a hot shot power-hungry doctor with no bedside manner what-so-ever. I couldn't believe she was allowed to have a intern/resident shadow her! I will never see her again and highly advise others to find a different doctor.

Dr. Jeruss treated me at the University of Michigan and performed my double mastectomy. She was attentive and caring throughout the entire process. I highly recommend her to anyone who has been affected with breast cancer.

I was brought in the office at 3:15pm for a 1:30 appointment. The PA spend for more time with me than the doctor and seemed way more informative about the risks of not doing the hormone therapy after a lumpectomy for DCIS and radiation. He explained it is preventative and only decreases the risk for breast cancer by 4-5%. Considering you take it for 5 years and cant get pregnant while on it, that is a big deal for a woman who has cancer early and still wants kids. Dr. Jeruss just told me I have to take it and did not address the risks. That bugged me. They also just scheduled my clinical appointment without asking if that date and time worked for me. I found that rude and arrogant.

I have never been treated more rudely by an alleged "professional" in my life. She has no tact, professionalism, bedside manner, compassion or ability to read a chart before having a conversation with a patient. I would never recommend anyone to her. If I worked at NWMH, I would be embarrassed to call her a colleague. I was shocked that she also had an intern shadowing her. She's the antithesis of what a shining example of a good doctor would be.
