Horrible experience

I have a toothache, and adjacent tissue is inflamed. So I called for an appointment, but was told offices are closed due to impending hurricane. Which, parenthetically, is not projected to cause a problem here. My solution: get dental records and find another dentist who isn't taking a convenient vacation.

Went to Dr. Benchimol for work that needed to be done. Plan was worked up for lower back left wisdom extraction and the same on the right. I did sedation dentistry and when the work was done I had 2 teeth pulled on the lower back left! I was shocked. My family had been in the dental field for many many years and this was a shock to me. After speaking to him about this he offered to the next procedure free of charge. I went in to get a crown. He grinded my tooth down and put the temporary on. A week or so later I went back and got my crown put in. It hurt so badly that I could barely hold back the tears. Even the assistant was concerned as to the amount of pain I was in with a simple procedure like placing a crown. Well, it seems that he grinded my tooth down so much that it exposed the nerve and he just put the crown on top of it and called it a day. I needed to have something on there so I left with it. It is a horrible crown of such poor quality. The sides are porcelain but the top… feels rough like acrylic. This is a cheap crown! That not even the worst part. Ever since he placed the crown I cannot bite down on the tooth any more due to pain. I feel a dull pain there if I apply pressure. I have to get this entire thing fixed now. What an ordeal!

You want more work and other dentists to solve problems he gives you? Store-bought degree in my opinion. Some good staff, but I'm demanding invoices with detailed descriptions of work done/not done. Worse dentist I've seen in five decades, and would enjoy seeing him in a forest. Even animals would get ill. Avoid!

I was for 20 years without teeth. I could not smile, or eat, my digestion is the worst, and always very sick because I could not have a proper nutrition. Thanks God I found Dr Benchimol he is wonderful gentle patient and did an excellent job all implants on my upper, now I even eat steaks and apples and caramels. Love you Dr you are the best.

This is by far the best dentist I have ever met. His office staff are great also. I have extreme anxiety and put me in a dental chair and it gets worse. But Dr. Benchimol and his staff were amazing! They did all they could to help keep me calm and make the process as fast and painless as possible. Dr.Benchimol also called me Saturday after my procedure to check on me. Now that’s a dentist that cares!! To take time out of his personal schedule to check up on me was a amazing surprise. I would suggest anyone that needs dental work to go to Healthy Smiles with Dr.Benchimol. For the first time in my life I can honestly say I trusted him and I will not ever let anyone else touch my mouth!! So Dr. Benchimol your stuck with me now! Not only did you make the process easier for me but you gave me my confidence back, I couldn’t have ask for more! I had become depressed and angry and though I’m still having some pain. Everyone who’s seen me says you look amazing like a total different person,… your attitude has changed and that I finally look happy! And I am, very happy. I’m so thankful for Dr. Benchimol and his staff! I will never be able to thank him enough for making me feel like I was truly cared about, mentally and physically. All I can say is their the BEST!!! I've been going there for 6 years and have has root canals, bone grafts, extractions and such. Always a good job and minimal pain and recovery time. They do up-sell, but it is a business after-all and they do not pressure me ever, they just make recommendations. Anytime I have a worry about something, after a procedure, he checks it out at no charge and solves the issue if needed.
