Dr. Jae Han Jun, MD

I was referred to him by another doctor at Kaiser I was seeing for TMJ problems. I had popping on my left side. I had a phone call appointment with him and he told me there was nothing that I could do. He didn’t refer me to anyone else. He just told me that there was nothing that could be done to help me. One year later my jaw locked closed. I could hear a tearing sound in the joint on the left side of my jaw when trying to open. When I went to him, he evaluated me and was completely uninterested in treating me since I did not have any severe pain. He told me that my scan looked fine, but I never had a single dedicated scan of my jaw performed, which left me very confused. The only thing he did was refer me to physical therapy, which did not help given how severe the problem was. He was incredibly rude and dismissive of my concerns and made me feel like I didn’t matter. Based on my experience, I would not return to this physician.

My wife and I have been consulting with Dr. Jun over the course of four years. I have to say I'm shocked at any bad bedside manner reviews. He is one of the best doctors, I've ever worked with in all regards. He is an expert, is easy to speak with, kind and thoughtful. He also answers questions we have quickly and thoughtfully. My guess is that any not so great reviews have a lot to do with the stressful conditions he is tasked with helping people out. I've worked with many surgeons for many injuries and they all have to value their time. Dr. Jun does it well. Be thankful if Dr. Jun is your doctor. Excellent.

Dr.Jun was amazing from start to now (6 weeks post op, not done with office visits). I was hesitant after reading reviews, but he was warm and knowledgeable and I had confidence in him before going into surgery. The surgery went smooth, had minor complications, but Dr.Jun talked me through everything and what I needed to do to help myself get better. He was tough on me, and I credit this to how fast and well I’ve been recovering. He didn’t caudal me he kept the situation very real and that I needed to put in more work to have a smooth recovery. It was his words that helped me through the toughest parts of recovery. Now my office visits with him are fantastic and I look forward to seeing him and showing him my improvements. He did a great job, and I am beyond happy with my results. I am incredibly happy that he was the doctor that did my surgery.

Rude, should not being doing any kind of surgery. He did my double jaw surgery. I have way more problems now with my face then I ever did before. ( The recurring swelling the symmetry if off, headaches and pain in my jaw and face.) RUN from him.

I've seen Dr. Jun several times, and each time I leave the office upset. He's rude, dismissive, and makes you feel like any question you ask is stupid.

Something about this man gave me very negative energy right from the start. He came in the room and while he was talking to me he was rolling his eyes. When I didn’t understand him he said well it seems I’m just repeating myself. He was condescending when I asked simple questions to understand. He acted like I was wasting his time. He treated me essentially like I was a number and had no sense of humanity. I left his office crying because I was That uncomfortable and he made me feel That depressed about my situation. Then I saw someone else said the Same thing. Extremely disrespectful. Run!

I have been a patient of Dr. Jun's for years. He has always been extremely attentive to my individual needs, extraordinarily knowledgeable about his field, and is never shy about fully disclosing possible drawbacks of any medical intervention. He was the lead surgeon on an extremely long surgery I had to undergo and despite the additional 6 hours of surgery, he took his time to make the best medical decisions for me and my health. He has always taken his time to attend to every concern by the time I leave his office. By far one of the best doctors I have ever had the privilege of working with.

Dr. Jun is the best doctor you will ever have. He is extremely knowledgeable and really cares about his patients. Kaiser is so fortunate to have an incredible surgeon!!!

I went to him for a second opinion and without even examing me he said that his colleague already looked at my concern and it's fine and basically acted as if I was wasting his time, he was extremely condensing and rude. I'd advise seeing someone else, I don't understand how he is still a doctor he clearly has no care for patients.

I highly recommend that you see a different doctor. Dr. Jun is terrible. Bad news. Run!
