Dr. Jagindra Nath Mangru, MD

Total confidence in Dr. Mangru and he is very well respected by my other Physicians.

Don't waste your time... Diagnosed me, then retracted diagnosis, Made diagnosis based on if med worked, just 1 med. Said one thing, then contradicted himself. Tears were flowing and he offered no help no direction. Was not familiar with common medical knowledge of diseases in his field.

I had been going to a Rheumetologist that I felt like just treated me like a number - in - prescribe - and out. I needed someone who would go that extra mile and figure my problems out...since none of the drugs were working. I was referred by my PCP whom I LOVE LOVE LOVE. So I had high expectations for Dr. Mangru. I was extremely disappointed. Office environment: The office looks like...what my mom calls "temporary." It is not pleasant and it's dark. Magazines and pamphlets everywhere. But really they could pack that up at any moment and be gone. I didn't notice it being too dirty but very "institutional" is a good word. The staff: Front desk person (the first time I was there) was really nice. She was pleasant and easy to deal with. A new guy must have started and he was nice too for my 2nd visit. The nurse is nice. Not overly friendly but nice. She does her thing - bp and O2 level. Dr. Mangru: He only talked. Sat leaned up against the desk with his… arms folded. I noticed he didn't wash his hands -- well he didn't need to because he did not touch me once. He didn't even listen to my heart. He looked at my iphone -- for the past labs. Blood was drawn -- the LabCorp tech was really nice ______________________ I called several times about my labs. Later THE NEXT WEEK, someone called me back and said they were in and would be published to portal once he looked at them. A FEW DAYS LATER, he called and told me his thoughts. Follow Up appointment - He only talked. Sat leaned up against the desk with his arms folded. You have X and I'm going to start you on Y (medicine). We'll see how you do. The man did not even listen to my heart. Why was I charged $500. Left and never looked back. If you are looking for a Dr. that is going to do something other than look at a number and call you in a DANGEROUS drug with no information or anything....then THIS IS YOUR GUY. He's in this for the cash...no question. He is far worse than my first one. Luckily, I did MY OWN research and found an amazing Dr at the perimeter. WELL WORTH THE DRIVE.

I had called this office and advised I was having pain in my upper and lower leg. I advised the lady that answered the phone that I did not have arthritis or gout and would he be able to help determine the cause of my leg pain since he is also an Internist. They advised he could. I waited six weeks and in pain to see the doctor. I took in my blood work and several x-rays to help out. The doctor looked over all, came in and just stood there. He had no clue what to do. He did not offer to do any test. I asked him if he thought the Zetia I was taking could cause this. He said oh yes, quit taking. He then ordered a topical cream for me to use. He then said come back in six weeks. When my bill came in they had charged my insurance company 399.00 dollars for a level 4 consultation. I am not happy about this kind of charge since the doctor had no clue how to help me with treatment. I called the office and they were rude to me and developed an attitude. I would not recomment this doctor… to anyone.

If you are in pain...do not see this dr. I have been to see him twice and he has never laid a finger on me. How do you know if someone is in pain if you dont touch them? Also, I have waited 1 1/2 months for this dr to send my info to the hospital overseeing my Lupus, Sjogrens and Fibromyalgia. They still do not have it.... BEWARE!

I disliked my old rheumatologist so much that I relied on OTC meds for several years before trying to find a new doctor. I was blessed to find Dr. Mangru -- he has the best bedside manner ever, and he listens and respects the fact that you know your body better than anyone.

Dr. Mangru is very empathetic and caring. He is also very knowledgeable and testing me for things outside his area that other doctors missed. I highly recommend him.
