Dr. Jahandar Saifollahi, MD

You want a psychiatrist that will prescribe you anything you ask for? Then this is it. If you want something actually therapeutic and beneficial to your mental health? This aint it. I visited "Dr." Saifollahi's office 4 times, and I could not bring myself to do it anymore. He runs his office like someone would run a puppy mill. 1) Appointment scheduling - HORRIBLE. He will schedule 10 to 15 people for the same time. I didn't know this the first time so I showed up a noon, when the receptionist said my appointment was for. Apparently when I got there, I was number "7" in line of all the others scheduled at noon. I waited until about 1:30pm before I was seen. I felt like I was at the DMV. 2) Privacy - HORRIBLE. You then proceed to meet him in what resembles a board room for meetings. Not a private office you would expect a psychiatrist to have. He makes no effort to shut the door. In fact, he has a door stop to keep it open, and the waiting room where all his other patients are is… just 4 to 5 steps away. So if you want a privacy, you have to actively remove the doorstop. He then gives you an odd look for wanting privacy. 3) Quality of care - HORRIBLE. His goal when meeting with you is to get you in and out as quickly as he can so he can move on with his day. I was in his office for 10 minutes tops after waiting an hour and a half to see him. He then prescribed me 4 different medications to take all on top of each other. What doctor does that? It can cause serious damage to your mental health if you don't ease into prescriptions, maybe trying out one or 2 at a time to figure out what works for you. I could probably ask him for 10 different drugs and he'd let me have them, with a bare minimum of questions asked. I never write reviews, but this needs to be discussed. Malpractice definition: improper, illegal, or negligent professional activity or treatment, especially by a medical practitioner, lawyer, or public official.

He has overseen my treatment for 6+ years. He listens and explains things well. Highly recommend him!

I would not recommend this psychiatrist. He does not like his authority or knowledge questioned. He can be abusive. After seeing him I am more traumatized now than before seeing him. Check his state license for complaints.

Dr. S. Knows his stuff. Any problems with meds, he knows how to fix it. I have great confidence in him!

I'm in my late 30's, rec psy care x25 yrs. By far THE most knowledgeable (I suspect he has multiple degrees), compassionate, teaching, caring M.D. to care for me. I am so fortunate to have found him!!

This man is perfection. I am forever grateful.
