Dr. Jai-Hyon Rho, MD

Consult done by him at Hollywood Presbyterian Horrible bedside manner. Misdiagnosis in chart along with false diagnoses. No real thought or clinical assessment done in consult. Felt as if only there to get consult fee. Unprofessional and should not be in network.

My dad was a patient of Dr. Rho's for several years, but when he took a turn for the worst and was transferred to skilled nursing indefinitely, Dr. Rho literally gave up on him. Despite having a g-tube, not being able to walk, stand or even sit comfortably in a wheelchair, Dr. Rho would not walk one block from his office to the nursing facility to check on my dad (ok, once in 2 years). In last 6 months of my dad's life, Dr. Rho would not return our phone calls. Dr. Rho was fine in beginning but he wasnt in it for the long haul.

Dr. Rho is an amazing doctor, he listened to everything I had to say and answered every question I had, he also spent a good amount of time with me, he never seemed rushed or in a hurry to finish ( not like other doctors I've seen). I have to say, I felt very comfortable with the staff they were very nice and helpful.

I went to Dr Rho because he said that he was a movement disorder neurologist that specialized in Parkinsons Disease. During my visit he sat behind his computer looking down at his screen only looking up a few times. He also never even examined me. I had been to a movement disorder neurologist before and had to transfer care because I moved. So through my reading, support groups and my previous neurologist I have learned a lot about Parkinsons Disease. Dr. Rho wanted me to take Tyrosine, Phenylalanine and Tryptophan for my Parkinsons . Then he wanted to put me on an anti-depressant saying it was for my Parkinsons Disease when I dont have depression. I later found out that he actually falsely advertises as a movement disorder specialists (Parkinsons specialists) because he has never done any training in it. I found out that those that are Movement Disorder specialists do what is called a fellowship. I never knew this so when I asked him about it he was very defensive and I saw on the… internet he had done training in Neurophysiology which is either seizures or muscles diseases not Movement Disorders. So you cannot falsely advertise your business if youre not a doctor but you can lie to your patients about your training and falsely advertise as a doctor. This doctor obviously doesnt know what he is doing, is incompetent and the only reason why he will never get sued is because he can talk over patients heads with false facts about Parkinsons Disease and he is not in a position like a surgeon where he can really hurt someone. When I asked for my medical records I was surprised to see that he had written detail physical and neurological exams but had never done them. This guy is more of a witch doctor that a real physician. You dont have to listen to me, just do your research and see for yourself.

Dr Rho was the first of several neurologists that my mother has seen over the past few years for her Parkinsons. He is the first that we have had confidence in as he takes the time to explain what he is doing, WHY he is suggesting a particular course of action and even gave us his personal cell phone number to call if Mom experienced a certain set of symptoms again.

Dr. Jai Hyon Rho is truly a lifesaver. Words can not express what this man has done not only for me but my family.Dr. Rho not only listens to what you have to say, but explains what you are going through and why.Dr. Rho is beyond words a dedicated doctor.
