Dr. Jaime M. Bamford, MD

My mom is abusive & has self esteem issues and since I wasnt the kind of kid to grow up to be a lawyer or doctor she got embarrased and decided I was nuts and when I admitted to being atheist it got even worse she took me around between doctors and counsellors telling them lies to get me misdiagnosed and put on meds and 10 hours a week of in home counseling, nobody listened to me only her. Dr. Bamford was one of them who put me on meds based on what my Mom said and gave me 2 diagnosis I said on multiple occasions did not describe me at all, when what she should have done was tell my Mom there’s nothing wrong with me and sent us back home and told her she recommends less intensive counseling. Granted I did pretend the meds worked to please my Mom (But I should’ve never been put on them in the first place) so that maybe it’d all stop but those meds caused me serious mental problems borderline psychosis and made me suicidal for the next year until I stopped, and I had to stop cold turkey… once I realized what was going on which for a month after quitting made me even more crazy than when I was on them. She’s a puppet for parents like most psychologists in Lynchburg so probably great for a lot of ya’ll but honestly a horrible person and a liar.
