Unfortunately, I had a terrible experience with this doctor. From day one, I felt Dr.Gasco was really dismissive of my condition. When my pain worsened, I went back to him desperate for surgery. Despite telling him the physical therapy, pain meds, and epidural steroid injections were not working, he insisted on doing more epidural steroid injections. This was after him telling me he only wanted me to do one shot and then we would do surgery if not. He said he changed his mind because he knows "how to do it better than the pain doctor since I am a neurosurgeon". He kept dismissing my pleas for surgery. I got the impression from this doctor that patient care is about ego for him, rather than it being about the patient. I felt his advocating for one self was an attack to his ego and his need to be right. He made passive aggressive remarks about me hating physical therapy. Our visits were also marked by his use of air pods and giving me his back at times. After switching doctors, the new… doctor asked why I had been in pain for so long and why surgery wasn't done. He said my imaging, condition, and level of pain was textbook reason to do surgery. Because of his terrible bedside manners and inattentiveness, I could not recommend this doctor. I'm sure he is a very qualified surgeon but that alone is not enough when dealing with life altering conditions. Thanks to the other doctor, I got the surgery I needed and got my life back.

Dr Gasco is exceptional. He was able to take care of my symptoms of back pain and I am now doing much better thanks to his diagnosis and treatment plan

Dr Gasco gave me an appointment after my Family DR spoke with him. DR Gasco saw my MRI and told me on my first visit that I had a Subderal Hematoma and that he was going to prescribe a regimen of steroids to try to get rid of it. I did have a craniotomy done by DR Gasco and a tube to drain the blood. The day after surgery, I had a CT Scan which showed the brain clear. I had another scan this morning and it is clean. This DR and his staff are without a doubt the very BEST. I would recommend DR Gasco to anyone with brain problems.
