Dr. Jambur Eriah Chandrashekar, MD

I was seeing this doctor for over 2 years regarding problems with my neck and throat. He sent me for the same tests over and over again. Finally, due to being in excruciating pain, I advocated for an MRI. During one appointment I asked if the blood test could detect if I had cancer. Dr. Jambur Chandrashekar got in my face and spoke to me like I was stupid he talked slowly and very close to my face. It was extremely unprofessional and demeaning. The test he sent me for consisted of blood work, TMJ doctor, two Ear Nose and Throat specialist. Every referral I obtained fell through the cracks, I continuously had to call them and find out what was going on with the referrals. Several times, I was told they forgot, or the referrals specialist no longer worked there. Through these two years the pain became progressively worse. I requested to get my tonsils out and obtain an MRI. He became angry, and stated, “Can I make a suggestion? Find somebody else.” I was shocked and asked if he was… SERIOUSLY ABADONING his patient. Later, after going to the hospital several times, I obtained an MRI. I found out I have a bulging disc in my C5,6,7,8 which is why my left arm was going numb. I am making progress with Desert Oasis Medical Group, but still haven’t had the best luck finding a doctor. I am still advocing for myself and to find answers as to why I have had a sore throat for almost 3 years now. Do yourself a favor and never go see this doctor.

Rude, obnoxious, and does not listen. Never even examined me and tried to tell me I had arthritis. Came in with a soft tissue knee injury to obtain a referral to an orthopedic surgeon. He wouldn't listen to anything I was telling him. I asked my husband to come into the room. As my husband tried to explain the issue to him, he quickly told my husband "I don't like you and you can leave." I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I will never go back to this person again.

My nurses were awesome though. As far as the dictator I mean doctor.

I was very impressed with Dr. Shekar, and his staff. It was simple for me to get an appointment same day, as I called early around 9am. He is a very good doctor, and knows exactly what he is doing and is very caring. I felt very comfortable talking with him. He gave me a quick and accurate diagnosis. He did recommend a blood test, for general purposes such as cholesterol, etc. I also have a feeling it is because he is also a Nephrologist as well, so he is just also interested in knowing if you have any kidney problems. The only negative thing about my experience there was that when it was time for me to pay my co-pay, I pulled out my plastic, and then the office staff said that it was cash or check only. I was a little disappointed because I had to drive across the way to an ATM near K-mart. I never carry cash. It would have been nice if they would have told me over the phone when I had made the appointment. Other than that though, I was really happy and impressed. I do not have a… regular family doctor, but I have chosen one now! I
