Dr. James Madison Alford, MD

I went in after being referred to him in office, I went to my initial visit, scheduled a second visit to set my mind at ease about a possible upcoming surgery. I requested a referral for a second opinion and at that time I was told"He does not give referrals, if you would like to self-refer, feel free to sign a release form and take your records to your new provider". I had never heard of such a thing! Talk about ego.

He delivered my first son 18 years ago in Prestonsburg, KY. He was wonderful and I remember he had the most gracious bedside manner.

He delivered ALL three of my kids. He is a remarkably great DR.

Dr. Alford is great, he is very kind and he always takes my feeling into consideration. i have had PCOS for 9 years and he has been my Dr. for 5 of them. he has done 2 surgerys to remove large cyst and is about to do a hystorectomy and i havent a single worry, i always feel very comfertable and the staff are very nice :-)

Dr. Alford is a fantastic physician who is very caring and considerate of the patient. He listens to every concern makes the correct diagnosis. He is by far the best ob/gyn. It is easy to get an appointment and easy to get a follow up visit if necessary. I have had several procedures done by him including a hysterectomy. Everything went well and I was back to normal quickly without any complications. I would highly recommend him as a doctor for any lady.

Dr. Alford is an absolutely wonderful obstetrician. He was very caring and happy to answer any questions I had during my first pregnancy. He seems to love his job as well, which made it even easier to see him at my appointments. He also found that my baby was breech, which was something that could have gone unnoticed. I plan to see him for prenatal care during all of my pregnancies!
