Dr. James Thomas Bohmer

I had fibroids and was told that I had to have surgery, but only to find out I did not need to have surgery because I wanted more children and this has taken a toll on my life. I told Dr. Bohmer that I should go and seek an second opinion, but was told that was not going to correct my problem "Really", I asked if I did not have the surgery what could happen, he said it would get worse!!! But now I regret not getting the second opinion from another doctor. I was still young and could had more children even in my situation at that time. Dr. Bohmer could have been more supportive but when it is a man they do not have any feelings especially when it's nothing to do with their bodies!!!! He had not compassion for me and what a BIG decision that was for me!!!! I was mutilated and surgery should never be a first option there should always be a plan B, C or D that way the patient is in control not the Doctor!!!! I felt rushed like as if my life was going to End if I didn't get that surgery but… it is ALL about getting paid for these Doctor's never about the patient and a part of me is gone this is serious and not to be taken lightly, so I say to any Women get double checked before making this decision because there is no correction once this procedure is DONE!!!! Doctor's like Dr. Bohmer need to be trained on how to be more understanding and give options to each Female patients. I would like to thank the women that have commented on this platform and I feel your pain. Doctor's need to do better whether you are expecting a baby or having issues with your body it should not be taken lightly but help make the transition smooth and also help women understand what is fibroids are and how it starts out explain about the heavy bleeding make time for each patient instead of rushing!!! It starts with YOU and ENDS with YOU!!!

Dr Bohmer didn’t listen to any of my concerns & was pushing for me to have a complicated surgery.

Horrible practice. I was told that I was no longer able to be treated a because I spoke up about the horrible treatment and bedside manner I received. I was gaslit about pain only to find out that I indeed had an infection weeks after. The manager was very aloof with her response as well. This practice is horrible.

Bohmer wasn't my first choice in the group, but after my doctor left, I chose to see him when I developed new issues. He listened, he validated, and made appropriate treatment recommendations. I couldn't be happier with the care he has provided.

I followed my gut to switch doctors half way through my pregnancy due to the fact that he seemed to deny/push me away from getting genetic testing. He also does not do urine testing which is common practice. I believe he was negligent because my in one of my later on ultrasounds with my new doctor I come to find that my baby has a dialated kidney which can be a soft marker for Down Syndrome. This of course concerned me so my new doctor went to pull my results from The earlier on Down syndrome testing which was supposed to be conducted and was shocked to find that Dr Bohmer only completed phase one. Negligence! And rude doctor! Beware!

Dr. Bohmer performed emergency surgery for me in 2004 for a tubal pregnancy. He has been my doctor ever since & has seen me through a miscarriage (2010) and a beautiful daughter. (2012) He's very understanding and willing to work with you and your needs, he listens and actually hears what you say without judgement. But he also knows his stuff and and I absolutely trust him implicitly. He makes you feel comfortable no matter what the situation and seems to genuinely care.

Dr. Bohmer is one of the best doctors ! he makes you feel comfortable to ask any questions , share your concerns and he is very supportive. Very professional , polite and good person. To me he is like a friend than a doctor. So glad he is my doctor.
