Dr. James David Borden, MD

Not only did he call me into the office to tell me he would not perform my surgery after scheduling it but also told me he would no longer be my doctor for a surgery I had in 2020 that failed. So the office refunded my office visit and sent me on my way. I have now got a notice by text and in my chart which by the way he will not respond in. The staff stated to me he refuses to use it. He now has sent the office visit to collections . Even though they refunded.it .Unbelievable he definitely needs to retire and they need to have a service that calls the patients to see really what their doctors are doing and their professionalism and really see how the staff operates because this is unacceptable for a doctor or a doctors office

Had surgery by Dr Newhall in 2020 excellent doctor but now retired. Having issues from the surgery I went to see Dr James Borden at the cape location. He said I needed surgery to remove what was done in the previous surgery so he told me they would.call with a date. Left a few day later started bleeding have severe pain so I reached out by my chart with a message no response so I called the next day and was told someone would call no one did. Called again the 3rd day no return call. Did not call the 4th day still no call. On the 5th day nurse Maddie called me I told her how upset I was and how much pain I was in she said Dr Borden wants you to come in so they scheduled another appointment went in and Dr Borden came in the room. First thing he said how are feeling? I said really bad a lot of pain he said well we have a problem. Taken by surprise I said we do ? He said you yelled at my nurse so I am not going to be your doctor and I am blocking you from all LPG groups. I told him it was… a lie. He said I will examine you but that’s all. I told dr Borden you called me back not concerned about my health but worried about. Nurse Maddie who lied. I was at the work at the hospital with numerous witnesses but he did not care. I told dr Borden you know your the only doctor our insurance covers he smiles and yes I know. Unethical of a doctor I would not let my dog be seen by Dr Borden and definitely don’t get the nurse Maddie

A true professional. He listens and does everything he can to get you better. A compassionate doctor who believes in getting to the bottom of whatever is ailing you.

I have been going to Dr. Borden and the staff at SWFL Urologic for several years. As I've aged issue tend to worse. Recently I had a procedure preformed by Dr. Borden. This was done at the surgery center at 12651 Whitehall Dr. Fort Myers. The Doctor and the entire staff took great care of me and the results have been successful and I can not thank them enough. I saw him for infection. The office staff helped get me an emergency appointment the same day. Great Place! Very caring!

I had a TURP procedure done by another doctor ten years ago, I was having problems again. I saw another urologist that was not giving me any relief from my symptoms. After being in the ER three times in two weeks, I was admitted to the hospital. Dr Borden diagnosed my problem and performed a new TURP procedure that gave me a new quality of life. I am almost as good as new and am enjoying doing things that I used to hesitate about doing because of urinary problems. Dr Borden is a caring professional and a great surgeon. Thanks Dr Borden!!

VERY FRIENDLY, TAKES TIME TO EXPLAIN EVERYTHING. WAS HESITANT TO HAVE ANY PROCEDURE DONE HERE IN FLORIDA. I AM FROM MA. I HAVE TO SAY I WAS VERY PLEASED WITH EVERYTHING. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND DR BORDEN.

My father has seen Dr. Borden over several years. He is always extremely caring and lives up to his reputation of being one of the top doctors in America. He is so patient and kind to my dad, who sometimes can be a bit difficult. The care he has provided has been life changing for my father.

Memorable? Definitely. Sent for a Foley catheterization. I received very bad news about a tumor and was sent there for additional diagnostic work-up. Didn't happen at all, Dr Borden was rude and abrupt. Gave a prescription for Flomax and said come back in a month but probably wouldn't be there due to surgery (first I heard the word the surgery). Didn't make the connection until I met with the oncologist the next week.
