Dr. James Andrew Burtka, DO

I have been a patient for a very long time with him. He really does care about his patients. He always will send you out to a specialist when needed. He has a very funny side. My brother and sister are patients too. I lost my brother to H1N1 in 2015 and Dr. Burtka was very touched of my brother passing. I would never go to see another primary, he has a perfect personality and heart to be in the profession he has chosen.

I went for an appointment with this Dr. He was so rude. He doesn't listen at all. I told him I have a chronic condition and it was bothering me and that I was in extreme pain from this condition. He totally wrote me off until the next day I get a call from his office saying they need me to come in for another blood draw because one of my levels was elevated. I am like well yes it would be I told him it would be and that I was in pain. I need a Dr. that listens when I speak instead of staring down his nose at me. It was a very unpleasant experience and I wont be back.

Dr. Burtka treated our entire family for years. He diagnosed my son's testicular cancer immediately and this allowed us to treat his cancer aggressively and he is now cancer free. He recommended specialists and kept in contact with us and with my son's doctors to track his progress. Dr. Burtka is knowledgeable and professional and I recommend him highly.

Dr. Burtka takes the least invasive approach to an examination which makes me feel very comfortable and trusting of him. He is thorough and makes sure he takes enough tests to determine and need for follow up. Any time he has referred me to another doctor or test they have been very professional referrals and thorough in their assessments for a diagnosis. I trust Dr. Jim.
