Dr. James Clark Butler, MD

Don’t know how you can give any rating less than a five star. From the minute you check in it is always a great experience. The location is also close to home. Dr. Butler’s explanation is always easy to understand. He was highly recommended by a friend who had him for his surgery.

Dr. Butler and all of the staff at Ortho SC are great. From scheduling appointments, treatment recommendations and procedures, and follow-ups they are very thorough. They make sure everything is handled from the beginning to the end of your care or for continued maintenance of your condition. They are great.

Friendly, prompt and quality service provided that is really difficult to find today! This is the experience i have had from this office for 30 years!!

Dr. Butler and his staff are always kind, caring, respectful, and helpful. He is very knowledgeable when it comes to shoulder injuries and illnesses. He listens to me and tells me what options are available and the most likely outcome for each. He gives me his opinion on every option and his recommendation for treatment, allowing me to make an informed decision on what treatment to pursue. Then he and his team work with me to try to achieve the optimal results from my treatment, whether injections, surgery, rehab, etc, or a combination of treatments. He doesn’t push surgery as a first choice but gives me different options to try first if I want to. It’s refreshing to find a surgeon who doesn’t push surgery above every other option always. I have been going to him off and on since the early 2000’s when he operated on my left shoulder and hand the first time. He did a great job then and he’s done the same this time. I will recommend him to anyone, and he is currently working with my wife… on her shoulder through injections (and is not recommending surgery).

Dr. Butler is the only doctor i still drive to see after moving about 45 minutes from Myrtle Beach. His knowledge expertise and care surpass other doctors I've tried. He takes the time to figure out best course of treatment resulting in relief from chronic pain in my knees.

Dr. Butler has performed several operations on me with great success. He has also treated me for knee discomfort with very good results. I highly recommend Dr. Butler.
